In the unlikely event I were to win a grand it would at least soften the blow a little. I won over £700 last night. I had a feeling Utd would score at least 4, so that came in. I then put a bet on at half time for Utd to score more in the second half than they had in the first. All I'm doing is having a bet on a game of football. It doesn't change my support for the club. It's just a way of making a few quid and it's easy money given our current form.

We do have a small squad and we do lack options in some areas, whereas other areas are well covered with average players. If only the likes of Redmond and Djenepo could do a job at full back we'd be ok, but it's a shame that we have to play JWP as a full back when his talents lay firmly in the middle.

We'll sell the Jewels in the summer. Ralph will move on and we'll be relegated. We'll become an average Championship side with most of our Academy players making up the bulk of the team.

I don't know why we don't play Long on the Right. He used to play in that position and his work rate is always superb. He'll track back when needed and is more than capable of getting forward and supplying the front two.

You have to question why these matters are always left until deadline day? There's nothing like leaving it until the 11th hour to sign someone who wasn't your first or second choice. The whole thing smells of "Ok, well he'll have to do".

Exactly this. The season has gone to shit. Carry on like this and we'll struggle to finish above 15th. With teams like Burnley and Newcastle (even Sheff Utd & WBA) picking up points now, the gap we'd built up is being slowly eroded. Relegation form at the moment. Where the f*** are our next points going to come from?
