  1. Great result. Not expected at all. As I've always said. There's absolutely nothing wrong with our players. They'd walk into any team in this league. The problem was how they were being managed.
  2. Calm down everyone. Ole's gonna be at the wheel. 😂
  3. Has anyone mentioned Lee Molyneux? Signed from Everton on a two and a half year contract on Jan 2nd. Made his debut on Jan 10th and got sent off for two bookings against Swansea City on Jan 31st. Only made 4 appearances.
  4. No. I'm saying that he should be seriously considered as he surely has to be a better option that O'Neil.
  5. O'Neil has a 31% win ratio from 100 games as a manager. Carrick has a 46.76% win ratio from 136 games as a manager. O'Neil shouldn't even be under consideration. As a manager he's won fewer games than Russell Martin, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Will Still, Ivan Juric and Nathan Jones.
  6. I genuinely don't understand how Gary O'Neil can be considered a better option than Michael Carrick? Then again, I don't understand most of the decisions the board make.
  7. For me, If I had to pick one from that list it'd be Carrick.
  8. Too much of a gamble. I say we should get Carrick in. I'm much rather have him that Eckert or O'Neil.
  9. The way I view the players is that they'd walk into any other team in this league. They're underperforming because of the way they've been managed. The fact that Bree and Smallbone are winning MOTM awards since leaving says it all.
  10. Boro were 21st when Carrick took over. He got them in the playoffs that season. I think he'd be ideal for us. He certainly got Azaz and Archer playing well in his time there.
  11. Most Norwich fans couldn't wait to see the back of him. On another note, had Watford not just sacked their manager we'd now be equal with them in terms of the number of managers in the last 20 years. Everybody laughs about them when they hear that they have another new manager but we're almost as bad. I hd no idea we were that close to them.
  12. Anyone else thing that Carrick would be a sensible appointment?
  13. RM in advanced talks according to the press. I sincerely hope this is BS. If he comes back then that'll be the final straw for me.
  14. Ask me when we announce our next manager. If it's Martin or Eckert then I'm done.
  15. Please, Norwich, do us a favour and take Martin out of the equation.
  16. I wouldn't be too upset if Carrick came to Saints. He'd definitely sort the midfield and he's worked with both Archer and Azaz, who both showed good form under his management. With us not currently having a manager, I wonder whose idea it was to sign Romeu? This must have been decided before WS departed? Maybe there's someone already lined up who said they wanted him onboard? Ralph watched us a couple of weeks ago. We're the board sounding him out? Could he have influenced this move?
  17. He's also playing at a level lower. He can still do a job, as many others of a similar age have proved in this league.
  18. Should be exactly what's needed. I said at the start of the season that we should have offered him a short term deal so I'm delighted with this news. Just need a striker with a bit of experience now. Oh, and a manager that isn't Russell Martin or Tonda Eckert.
  19. We need Leeds to lose a couple more games and they'll fire Farke. Knowing our luck we'll appoint someone on Friday and Farke will get the sack on Saturday. Rodgers would be perfect but won't come to a Championship club and could never deal with our board. His overall win rate is 53%. He's only ever got a win rate of less than 40% at one club, Reading. Watford 42%, Swansea 45%, Liverpool 50%, Celtic 70%, Leicester 45%, Celtic 67%. Gerrard. His time at Villa was underwhelming. He did well at Rangers but it's a league with only 2 teams in it. You'd have to be a complete fuckwit to make a mess of that job. 😉😂 His 55% overall win rate is only helped by his 64% at Rangers. Villa 32.5 and Al-Ettifaq 39% isn't great. Carrick would be ok, I think. Did well at Utd and was perhaps harshly treated when they brought in RR. He probably felt that he should've been given a longer spell in charge. He took Boro from 21st to the play offs, which was good going. Was he to blame for two average seasons after that? The board obviously felt so. FWIW, I don't think Edwards will take them up. 46% win rate is better than some of the idiots we've appointed in the past. Ralph coming back under SR? I'm not sure, but stranger things have happened. Achieved a 34% win rate in his last spell at Saints. Tonda would just be another Selles type appointment. Again, too young and not enough experience. If they re-appoint Martin then I'm done. His best win rate was at Saints, 45%. Overall it's 38%. Not sure there's any other candidates at the moment. Any appointment carries a degree of uncertainly but we really need to air on the side of caution this time.
  20. Never should have been appointed. It clearly wasn't getting better and was never going to. There was no style of play of tactics. His substitutions proved that. Nice guy but too young and inexperienced. as I've said before. You don't buy the likes of Fellows and Azaz and somehow make them unrecognisable from their former selves. Also, Bree and Smallbone are both doing well away from the club which suggests a complete lack of mismanagement. It what's next that worries me. I'm hearing RH is coming back which wouldn't be the end of the world but he was never the same manager after Rohl left, and then there's those two 9-0 defeats.
  21. Woke up this morning hoping to see that he'd gone. Gutted that he's still here. Has there been a worse run club than Saints over the last 20 years?
  22. Knowing our luck we'll end up with Marti from Leicester, Manning from Norwich or VP from Wolves.
  23. I thought it was a massive gamble but was prepared to let him prove me wrong. After a month I was thinking, this isn't going to work. I wanted him gone at the same time Selles went from SU. At least their board had the balls to sack the manager when it clearly wasn't working. Our lot will probably leave Still in place until after the next transfer window and allow him to bring in more shite like Downs. This isn't going to work. He has to go as soon as possible.
  24. I've been saying this too. Meanwhile, Diaz is scoring at Derby andnBree and Smallbone are winning MOTM awards. Any of our players would walk into any other squad in this league. It all points towards the manager being clueless.
  25. Agree about experience but what decade are you in?
