If I can look at a team and say Ugochukwu instead of Smallbone. Archer in for Armstrong and Fernandes for Aribo, then why can't our bloody manager? RM has shown massive nativity so far this season. I said 0 pts from our first 5 games and I stand by that.

Surprise, surprise. Losing again. I don't understand the team choice at all. I've not seen a single comment from anyone who thinks he's got it right today. Why would you pick this team again when it hasn't looked good enough. RM talked about players at Cardiff who had done really well and staked their case only for him not to play them. Stephens? Smallbone? Aribo? Armstrong? FFS, we've spent a small fortune on players and they're all sat on the bloody bench. 😡

That starting lineup has really pissed me off. Stephens again FFS. Archer should be starting as should Fernandes and Ugo. This team looked poor last week against Forest so why pick the same line up again? We'll go a goal or two behind and then RM will look to change things. Idiot.

I thought we'd have 1 point after our first 5 games, with that point being picked up today. 😩 It doesn't bode well when the areas that needed addressing last season still haven't been addressed. A creative midfielder and an out-and-out striker. We've bought BBD and CA who basically play the same role. If we stopped playing that waste of Space, Stephens, then we could have another midfielder on the pitch.

I still don't understand why we didn't go for Szmodics. He played with BBD at Blackburn. Scored 33 in all competitions last season.and has already got 3 goals in 2 games this season. Much cheaper than O'Reilly. On paper Ipswich's recruitment looks very impressive.

If we're out of the race for O'Reilly then why are we not looking at Szmodics? He's off to a great start this season. He's played with Diaz and seemingly had a good partnership with him, from what I've read. I don't understand Saints at all. No striker. No creative midfielder. No goalkeeper. If Diaz gets injured early in the season what options do we have? These were top priority and they've failed with all 3.

If we need a striker than why not just get someone like Carlton Morris from Luton? I still think we'll end up with Ings on some kind of deal.

Remember saying that I'd like to see us go for him when he was at Forest, before he became Diaz. This seems like a good bit of business.

Huddersfield Town and Brighton have really great designs for next season. I look at both shirts and think, these would look great in red & white. Instead we end up with what looks like a non-league shirt.

The more I look at these the more I think Cambridge Utd & Exeter City. 😩

I guess that kit manufacturers knock up a handful of designs for the club to then choose the ones they like best? If this is the case then whoever has the final say at Saints clearly has little taste. Other than last season, which was a safe bet as it was a replica of a popular 80's kit, Saints shirts have been piss poor for years. It can't be a case of every manufacturer being rubbish at designing kits. They seem to do ok with other clubs so it must be that we have Stevie Wonder making the final decision.

Said for years that we should wear yellow & black, not yellow & blue. However, The kits are fairly bobbins. Home looks like a non-league affair. Sponsor looks terrible. Complete lack of imagination, again.

Eddie Nkiteh and Brerton Diaz

I asked the same question yesterday. Swansea pages were saying it was a done deal and would be announced a couple of days ago. Since then, nothing. 🤷‍♂️

Is the Nathan Wood deal still happening? 2 days ago the press were reporting that his signing was imminent in the next 48 hours but there's been nothing since.

Very disappointed to see him leave. I can only assume the deal he was offered was only for a year and he wanted something longer? I think we need players like him for what's ahead. As others have said, I'd rather have SA than Lallana. Can't help but feel that this isn't a great start to proceedings. The club really needs to make sure that they get the Flynn Downes transfer sorted.

He was playing golf yesterday and was heard telling the people he was with that he was signing today as a player coach. It's predominantly a coaching role with the odd cameo role. I can only assume this means early cup games etc?

Flynn Downes would be a great addition. We need a rock of a midfielder. A right-back if KWP goes and cover if he doesn't. A new left-back is priority and a solid centre-back. ABK could do a job but I don't see him returning. Sign Brooks and Fraser as both have experience and something to offer. I'm hoping Edozie will shine in the way that Eze and Olise have for Palace. We definitely need a goalscorer and a number 10. Ings could be a useful addition and I'd rather have him that Che, but he shouldn't be the first choice striker. I'd like SA to stay as he's got experience and is a useful squad player. Lumley, Bree, Manning have to go. Stephens and Bednarek are squad players at best. Not sure about Shea Charles, Alcaraz or KS. Loan out the youngsters like Ballard etc.

Stephens should not be a first team starter in the Prem. In the final he showed just how many careless mistakes he makes with two suicide balls gifted straight to the opposition. I like the guy but he's not up to the task in hand.

Happy to eat humble pie. Wasn't sure about him at all and some team selections have been bizarre but he's stuck to his guns and done what he was employed to do.

It doesn't matter who the manager or the players are, they never look up for a fight. The club must be jinxed because I can't think of any logical explanation. I'm done with this shit. It's the same every season. The club is rotten to the core. Shit board, shit manager, shit players. I'd rather give my money to a non-league club.
