  1. He's a proven striker at Championship level yet struggled in the Prem, that's why people slated him last season but are now singing his praises. He's perfect for us in the Championship. He could stay and be. a hero or he could go to Everton, struggle all season and end up in another relegation battle - You know exactly what he'll choose. Players are greedy pricks with no loyalty. A move to Everton is not an upgrade. Saints have the potential to go up. Everton have the potential to go down. JWP could've stayed and helped take the club he "loves" back up but loyalty counts for nothing any more. As long as we replace him then he can fuck off to the bin dippers for his career move and pay increase. 😂
  2. I think it's time to accept that he's not coming.
  3. Where the fuck are our signings? Even RM seems to be getting pissed off with the situation with sarcastic comments like "It would be nice to keep some.of out players" which was clearly a dig at all the sales.
  4. Am I right in thinking that if this isn't tied up today then he won't be eligible for the game on Saturday? It's a bit of a concern going to Plymouth with the current midfield options.
  5. Paul Merson normally talks a load of shit but his comments about JWP were pretty fair. Merson dropped down to the Championship twice in his career and loved it. JWP jas moved to a club who will finish in the lower half of the league, where he'll be a small fish in a big pond. He should have stayed put and helped get Saints back up. He's loved by the fans and has been at the club all his life. Why stay and be a hero when you can be a bit part player for a poor Premiership team? Personally I think he's made a poor move.
  6. Starting to wonder when the 'rebuilding' is going to start? Linked with more youngsters with little experience when what we really need is a bit of experience. Did we not learn anything from last season? Looks like Max Aaron's is on the brink of a move to Leeds so that's disappointing. Were we ever serious about signing him? The press don't even seem to have any concrete info on potential targets. Everything I read is pure speculation and opinion.
  7. The players should be made to repay the cost of every fans ticket and travel expenses.
  8. Classic Football Shirts have 20% off our new home and away shirts. Offer ends at midnight tonight. Use code CFS20. Offer came too late for me as I ordered from the official store on Friday. Bloody typical 😡
  9. Need to order a few shirts from the club shop. Are there any discount codes available?
  10. I bet he has a great season and gets at least 10 goals.
  11. Funny that. In August 1987 I went to our away game at Norwich and the first thing I said when the team took to the pitch was "that shirt looks pink and red."
  12. Imagine how much better this would look with the white circle removed from the back of the sportsbet logo.
  13. That's a proper league. Some decent rivalries in there and almost impossible to pick the top 6 or the bottom 3.
  14. Rumour has it that Tony Mowbray might be on his way out of Sunderland. He'd be a better option. Jokanovic took Watford and Fulham up. Not sure what went on at Sheff Utd, but his record is better than Russell Martin's so he's another option that's been overlooked. Chris Hughton would be another good experienced option as would Potter or Rodgers but our board doesn't seem to value experience at all. Instead they'd rather take another risk on a young, relatively inexperienced manager. I just don't get it. Have they ot learned from this season that you need experience on the pitch and at management level?
  15. Just read that Bristol City have terminated their contract with Hummel over this seasons supply issues. The article also said, Southampton are also considering ending the deal after only 2 years. Due to ongoing supply issues the club may be forced to look elsewhere. Anyone know if this is true?
  16. He'll go to Burnley for £12m
  17. Probably a better option than Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney or Schumacher.
  18. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65591769?at_campaign=Social_Flow&at_campaign_type=owned&at_medium=social&at_link_type=web_link&at_ptr_name=facebook_page&at_bbc_team=editorial&at_link_origin=BBC_Sport&at_link_id=B8A2F6A6-F270-11ED-B6C5-D841D99D5CC3&at_format=link ....Whilst our fans just take it on the chin.
  19. Appointing an inexperienced manager (which I've no doubt Saints will) will result in one thing. A mid-table finish. Unless we get some experience in and someone who can attract some experienced players then I don't see us finishing in the top half.
  20. I'll wait and see who the next manager is. If we go for another inexperienced manager like, Martin, Schumacher, Gerrard or Rooney then definitely not.
  21. Jason Wilcox wants a young and up coming coach. Let's be honest, the last two up and coming coaches (Jones & Selles) didn't exactly go to plan. What is it with this club not wanting anything to do with experience?
  22. Same old shit. Clueless and gutless. A complete fucking embarrassment. This will end about 6-1.
  23. I still don't understand what anyone saw in Jones? If I could attend 4-6 Luton games a season with friends and family and see that the bloke was a complete Charlatan then how did the so called professionals not spot this? Jones had great back room staff. As for him, he just shouted a lot and kissed and thumped the badge on his top. I've never saw him do anything that changed a game.
  24. Tella isn't coming back!
