We're looking like we've been found out for what we really are... Average. Good job we accumulated some points early on as we seem to be in free fall at the moment. Based on this form we'll do well to finish above 15th. I honestly can't see where the next points are going to come from at the moment. We're getting nothing tonight. Utter shite. 😡

I get sending him out on loan to give him game time and experience. However, I don't understand the logic in sending a player away when there's a good few injuries and no cover at all for the LB position. I can only assume that they're very confident of landing someone as cover? I just read that Maitland-Niles could be on his way, with RB going the other way. Again, this seems odd as we'd have a relatively inexperienced LB starting, and again no real cover.

Didn't expect anything tonight after beating them on Saturday. Just couldn't see us beating them twice in 4 days, particularly with KWP and RB missing. Thought we looked very poor tonight. Tired. Lack of any real creativity. Ings doesn't look himself. Adams needs to find his scoring shoes again. Not sure what Walcott gives us at the moment? We desperately need 2 or 3 players back to full fitness. Like others have said. It's hard to see where the next points are going to come from at the moment. 😕 A couple of players on loan would help, but i very much doubt that will happen. There's been a lot of youngsters chucked in at the deep end and they don't really look like the solution.

I bet he leaves for a CL club, gets injured, misses a whole season and ends up back at square one.

The squad lacks the depth that we require - We know that. I'd hope that we're looking to get a couple of players on loan for the second half of the season, just to cover injuries and suspensions. However, I'm not sure we will. If we're able to get 2 players in then one definitely needs to be a defender. Probably a LB. People keep calling for a consistent winger, but I'm not sure they exist. All wingers seem to drift in and out of games or have a blinding game every 1 in 4. I think we need something different up front. I'm surprised they've not stuck Long out on loan to a Championship club and looked for someone on loan to do a job for the remainder of the season. It's great to see the youngsters getting a start but we seem to have a bit of a gap, in that they don't look quite ready. Give it a couple of seasons and they'll probably be regular starters, but they've been thrown in at the deep end this season due to a lack of depth in the squad, which is why we just need a couple of more experienced loans to see us through.

A valid point. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Based upon what I've seen of the two players so far this season, it's looking like we've come out of it with the worse deal, but it's early days.

That's a fair comment. As a I said to a work colleague today, with his past history it would be a miracle if he didn't suffer some kind of recurrence at some point. Let's just hope it's at some point well into the future.

Buy the one with the wrong sponsor. Wash it 2 or 3 times and if previous posts are to be believed, the LD Sports logo will come off in the wash, leaving a nice plain sponsor less shirt. Job done!

The whole fiasco beggars belief. There's people selling the LD Sports shirts on Ebay, saying that they're rare because they have the wrong sponsorship. They look like they're going to sell for more than the price you can buy a new one from the club shop. The bidders are probably unaware that the club are selling them off for €42.00, a saving of £13.00 on the original price. I don't understand the logic behind Under Armour farming production out to an alternative manufacturer? Surely they could do this and still have them put the logo on the shirt? Unless they've totally seen their arse over the whole thing and terminated the contract with immediate effect, leaving the club with no option but to have the shirts made by the company who used to make our own brand kits about 15 years ago?

Has the Tom Davies link gone dead or is there still a possibility that it might happen? Personally I'd like to see us sign a striker. If Ings gets injured our options up front don't look great.

Spoke to another Dutch friend today about Veerman. Same story. Says he may be a great player one day with the right coaching, but not currently at the level required for the Prem. Laughed when I told him the price that was being mentioned. He reckoned €5m would be worth a gamble. If he becomes a first team player in 2 years then you've done well. If not, you can sell him back to a Dutch club and get your money back. He mentioned that Jordi Classe is a good example of how difficult it is to make the step up to the Premiership. His view is that only two Dutch teams would survive in the Premiership - Ajax and PSV. Went on to say that maybe Feyenoord would stay up, but in reality, 90% of the players in the Eridivisie are Championship standard. Finally, he thought Sangare going to PSV was a very strange move. One Dutch paper reported that he chose PSV over Saints because he wanted to play European football, but why would you want European Football with a club who won't get past the first couple of rounds?
