We do have a small squad and we do lack options in some areas, whereas other areas are well covered with average players. If only the likes of Redmond and Djenepo could do a job at full back we'd be ok, but it's a shame that we have to play JWP as a full back when his talents lay firmly in the middle.

So who gets dropped? Seems like his arrival will just provide a selection headache?

We'll sell the Jewels in the summer. Ralph will move on and we'll be relegated. We'll become an average Championship side with most of our Academy players making up the bulk of the team.

I don't know why we don't play Long on the Right. He used to play in that position and his work rate is always superb. He'll track back when needed and is more than capable of getting forward and supplying the front two.

You have to question why these matters are always left until deadline day? There's nothing like leaving it until the 11th hour to sign someone who wasn't your first or second choice. The whole thing smells of "Ok, well he'll have to do".

Exactly this. The season has gone to shit. Carry on like this and we'll struggle to finish above 15th. With teams like Burnley and Newcastle (even Sheff Utd & WBA) picking up points now, the gap we'd built up is being slowly eroded. Relegation form at the moment. I get sending him out on loan to give him game time and experience. However, I don't understand the logic in sending a player away when there's a good few injuries and no cover at all for the LB position. I can only assume that they're very confident of landing someone as cover? I just read that Maitland-Niles could be on his way, with RB going the other way. Again, this seems odd as we'd have a relatively inexperienced LB starting, and again no real cover.
