As it stands, who is your bottom 3?
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to JustMike's topic in The Saints
Don't give a **** about the others but we'll definitely be in there this time. -
I don't get all the hatred for Forster. He did a good job for us and his dip in form can also be attributed to some major changes in the back 4. I think it's very harsh that he's where he is now.
-
It's hard to argue with any of that. Spot on!
-
Has he reeled out the usual "I thought we deserved more" line yet?
-
Another defeat on the cards. Can only hope that Yoshida plays and Hughes realises that he's a better option than Hoedt.

I'd welcome Big Sam compared to what we have at the moment. ****ing ****e.

Liverpool 3-0 Saints - Reaction

I'm happy. I had a few bets. One of which was Liverpool to win 3-0 at 6-1. That's my next trip to The Netherlands paid for. :-) -
Liverpool vs Saints - Build Up

Bring on Austin at 70 mins and try and nick a goal... Why? We'll be at least 4-0 down by then. I don't see anything other than a ****ing thrashing. -

Anything less than 5 will be a good result. -
It's a fitness issue. Fatigue leads to a lack of focus and concentration.

I agree with the Celtic comment, however, the standard is definitely not worse than League 1. I've been to three Eredivisie games this season and I have to say they've all been far more enjoyable than anything I've seen in the Premier league in the last decade. Better atmosphere, cheaper tickets, cheaper food and drink, free travel from Rotterdam station to the ground, all help to make it a more attractive proposition. It's cheaper for me to fly from Dublin to Amsterdam and travel to Rotterdam to watch Feyenoord than it is to fly from Dublin to the UK to watch Saints, which is a sad reflection on the English game.

2/10. Had we not given away a total of 3 points in injury time then I may have given us 5/10.
-
Don't Saints hold some kind of record for the most points dropped from a leading position or the most goals conceded in injury time?

I was in Holland last week and all of the papers had pictures of Tadic on the front page of the Sports section. He's been playing incredibly well and is fast becoming a bit of a hero. Why could he not do that for us?
-
Didn't expect that result at all. Very happy and my £2.50 accumulator has just returned me £352.08. A good day at the office. :-)

Hard to see anything but us being bottom of the table at 5pm tomorrow.

Just wondering which clubs he got relegated? -
Mark Hughes - Fan Oppinons (August 2018)

Deserves a run but given how early we dipped into the transfer market I would have expected us to be firing on all cylinders come the start of the season. In the first half of our opening two games we've looked like we're still playing pre-season friendlies. From what I've seen we've spent over £50m and look pretty much like we did for large parts of last season. Seems to be another manager who doesn't know his best 11, or the formation we should be playing, which is a bit of a worry. Still, it's early days. It's just incredibly disappointing to see the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth and Watford playing fairly decent football. -
Hughes: I will entertain this season

.... And Brighton, and Watford.... -
I know it's only early days, but having watched teams like Watford, Brighton and Bournemouth play far more attractive football, and look all together more at-the-races, I have to say we'll be bottom 6 this season, unless there's a major change. I really don't know what the problem is. We've got some decent players but whoever is in charge is seemingly incapable of getting them to click. Nobody seems to know our strongest team, which can mean only one thing. We've got too many average players who lack any cutting edge.
-
Surely Gallagher would be a better option up front instead of Austin? At least he'd show some enthusiasm.
-
Just leaving the ground. Same story as last week, opposition should have been 3 or 4 up by half time. Unless things improve drastically I won't be wasting my money watching that shower of **** this season. 2nd to absolutely everything. Couldn't deal with a number of Everton players so resorted to dirty tactics. Hoedt and Stephens were poor. Again, Ings looks like the only bit of class that we have.
-
Looking at that lineup, I'm going for 4-0. :-(
-
I wonder if he'll admit to making a mistake by starting 3 at the back when we get beaten at Everton on Saturday? ;-)

Other Prem Teams - General Chit Chat

This wages nonsense is unsustainable. The bubble will burst. I just wish it'd happen sooner rather than later so that we can focus on football rather than product placement, sponsorship deals, Cars, WAGS and Tattoos.
