So it's Turkey, Belgium or sitting in our reserves till January for Edozie then.
-
First thing to say is one of the best bits of the window is the fact that kwp is still here until at least January. You never know if we look like staying up at that point he might even think about signing a new contract. Ramsdale absolutely superb buy and to be honest the defence looks pretty decent. We've strengthened it no doubt. A few doubts remain for me with midfield. Fernandes looks a talent but we are asking an awful lot of him to be good enough in that position to keep us up. Aribo for me isn't going to do that as much as I quite like him. Attack is where I feel we are lightest and have the least quality. Archer is a good signibg but has come off the back of a poor season so it remains to be seen how effective he will be in the league. BBD might be a player I end up hating as seems rather limited and a bit of a flat track bully and then obviously we have Adam Armstrong who I would love to do well but the jury is way out on him. Assuming Cornet comes in successfully then bar a striker I think we've done as well as we could have expected to. It might not be enough still but we've got a chance to survive which was a bit more than I thought we would have a few weeks ago. I'm going to go with 7 for the window which would have probably been an 8 or 9 had we got that elusive striker to really give us the best chance.

All the nice normal championship clubs he could have chosen for a loan and he chooses the basket case Scottish club an hour or so before the end of the window.
-
Ffs Edozie can't even go out on loan successfully. Could have left hours ago without all this shit. Just send him out to the Portuguese league or something this weekend and ship in the new bloke.
-
Ah shit. That really would leave us light in attack.

Everyone should watch his interview. Shows immediately why he is an asset to the squad.- 45 replies

Two excellent interviews from Ramsdale and Fraser today. In particular everyone should watch Fraser's as firstly it's obvious the affection he has for the club and also how popular he is with everyone else. I was a bit meh about his signing earlier but watching that I'm buzzing and I think he will have an important role this season for the group. Glad we have him.

Absolutely! Not sure predicting Fraser to sign makes you Nostradamus. -
Hasn't been that mental of a last day then. Ramsdale and Fraser we already knew about, we knew we would most likely get a winger. Shame about a striker but I suppose you can't have it all. Crossing everything that kwp is still here.
-
Exactly. The value of our squad was miniscule by comparison to them. We had to spend that to stand any sort of chance.
-
I expect the unexpected expense of Ramsdale put paid to a number 9. Maybe something we can address in January.
-
Who are we relying on for goals if Archer turns out to be crap or gets injured for any period of time?
-
Thanks mlg I'm quite aware. Nice of you to clarify it though.
-
Everything still OK with Cornet? Someone on twitter suggesting he might go elsewhere.
-
If we can't get another attacker I'd genuinely try and keep tall paul. Surely would be good to give us something different?
-
Don't jinx it.
-
You're right but it always feels like we're one man short at the end of windows. Got away without Stewart last year. We'll have a lot resting on Fernandes and Archer.
-
Sounds like Fraser, Ramsdale and Cornet. Suppose saints will dress it up as you could play Cornet up front but we're missing something up top for me. Not sure we have the goal threat required. Still great to get Ramsdale so you can't really be disappointed.
-
I posted the stat yesterday but there's a ranking you get for goals prevented. Bazunu had one of the lowest in the championship at something like -26. Anyone no need to analyse Bazunu to death anymore. He will likely barely play again until he shows incredible development which is great news.
-
Without a striker I can't see us surviving.

Objectives for remainder of the window: Sign Cornet Sign a striker Don't sell kwp
-
A statement signing. The first of the window. I'm impressed.
-
Goodness me that's excellent if true. Does that entire thing count for FFP purposes?
-
We're still being linked with some strikers though. I reckon we want an attacker.
-
Right. No more signings tonight. Night all. Let's hope for two or three in tomorrow and maybe a surprise one.
