  1. Even if he's great that's basically no resale value. I wouldn't be thrilled if saints signed a player like that for that dosh.
  2. Good post. Not sure I agree that any member of the far right really had any sort of. Influence over the last government given that nothing changed in the way they would like. Maybe the language was tougher.
  3. Hopefully we can all agree that anyone being violent is responsible for their own actions. That being the case, why is far right thuggery rightly condemned but the likes of jess Phillips on twitter is blaming that same far right for the violence of other groups by saying they were provoked by misinformation? Haven't all groups done exactly the same thing? Comments like that don't help the perception from the m some that there is a double standard at play. All violence needs to be condemned equally from all quarters and all need to be subject to the same standards.
  4. We bought him for his potential. Fine in the prem maybe but madness in the championship with budgets so tight. Thank goodness we got promoted so it didn't matter so much.
  5. Was very interesting from Blackmore. If you read between the lines I think it's clear that Ramsdale is not coming as his wage is too high. He suggested Dubravka. Also clear that Carvalho would like to play for Martin which would be a plus but doesn't mean we will get him of course. O'riley feck knows but he obviously is happy to play for us. Will cross our fingers on that one that we actually get an offer accepted. Sounds like they'd like Charles in loan which will help us for sure. Need to get Alcaraz, tall paul, ABK and KWP out as soon as possible if we want these players in
  6. Nothing in the quoted post had anything to do with any of that.
  7. Blimey that's a lot of work to find a post that didn't say what you thought it did. Glad we could clear that up though.
  8. I'll condemn any army that goes out of its way to murder innocent civilians for no reason. Anyone found to have done so should face the consequences. Seeing as you like trawling through old posts of mine on the Israel thread, you could go and find the post where I said that exact thing if you like. Looks like the situation isn't quite as black and white as you'd like it to be.
  9. How does my post you quoted in any way contradict what you just said?
  10. Worth highlighting the comment I was responding to. Remarkable that you don't think awful mistakes happen during a war.
  11. So horrible accidents don't occur during wars? You think they don't?
  12. Did you really notice that? Would be interesting to see examples of both things you've noticed.
  13. You're right: "We don't know what the protocol was, we don't know whether the test was accurate, we don't know whether we should believe the test," said IOC spokesperson Mark Adams. "There's a difference between a test taking place and whether we accept the accuracy or even the protocol of the test." It's important they address why they wouldn't accept the accuracy of the tests and what about them they wouldn't regard as accurate.
  14. I had a listen to the daily briefing from the IOC. As I understand it, it seems that they are dismissing the tests due to why they were done and the lack of due process rather than the results themselves. I haven't yet seen anywhere where they have challenged the results.
  15. Sure. That's a fair post.
  16. Eh? What irrational bullshit? I just said that all these extra security measures due to increased risk of terrorism is not pleasant which is what the post I put up says.
  17. Are you saying that loads of governments haven't been elected on the back of promising to lower immigration only for it to go up and up? And that immigration levels haven't been a big concern for successive electorates?
  18. Well I think the bit about people voting to lower immigration and then it climbing to higher and higher levels every year leaving people frustrated is very relevant. Regardless of the rights and wrongs on immigration, if people consistently vote for something for years and it never gets delivered that is a natural cause of frustration. Also the bits about anti ram blocks on roads and bridges. That's a particularly horrible addition to public spaces in recent years.
  19. Difficult to see past a rubbing at pleasant. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised and we look better than I think we will. Most likely a brutal welcome back.
  20. I think we have an interest in both. I'll believe we have a chance of signing either when it actually happens.
  21. Didn't really have a point. Just felt like posting any old shit whilst watching the telly.
  22. Bet he can't wait to be a key player at Atalanta.
  23. I think if he were going to come to us it would have happened by now.
  24. I don't agree with all of this post from social media but I do agree with some of it. A perspective worth listening to at any rate: "Imagine you're a working class white dude who's lived in this country your whole life.. watched it decline constantly since 2008.. in a way that almost maps perfectly to the amount of mass migration the government has chosen to inflict.. seeing videos online and things with your own eyes that the media refuse to even report.. seeing anti-ram blocks on the roads and guards in every shop and even McDonalds.. Imagine seeing the town where you grew up become unrecognisable. You vote against it.. 6 times.. and are ignored.. 6 times. You hear about machete wars, multiple stabbings through social media and not the news - you know that any crime that supports left-wing narratives will be front-page news. And then imagine they tell you that diversity is a strength, that it built Birtain.. and this is all good for you - that you just have to take it because your country plundered the world, and is racist - in the same tone and using the same massive aparatus they used during covid to tell you "just 2 weeks to flattern the curve / clap for the NHS / eat out to help out" Lineker reminds you that fish and chips came from an immigrant and every cringey celebrity and MSM talking head blends into one giant 'Britains got bakeoff talent' middle class festival of mastabatory platitudinal cringe. All spewed by people who live in white bubbles and pat each other on the back for having the correct options.. Imagine all that - then 3 innocent white children are stabbed.. the media reacts by releasing pics of the 17yr old suspect but as a child.. tells you nothing of his motive.. in the same week that multiple stabbings and knife wars took place that you had to find out about through social media. This isn't quite me.. but it's a LOT of people."
