  1. There's a difference between limiting appearances for youth players and relegation them to the u21s for the entire season bar the first few games.
  2. Well it's a fair argument given that SAA had some promising performances last year and then was never seen again then we brought in the likes of Rothwell.
  3. I always thought that was the aim.
  4. If Martin is true to his word about performances in preseason then both him and Ameyew need to stay here and get chances early.
  5. I didn't watch but someone I know did. Sounds like some worrying signs for the season ahead at the moment.
  6. Just unfortunate that our best signing so far is replacing our previous best player so it doesn't feel like a big upgrade. Agree that he's decent though.
  7. Anyone have a link like the last game?
  8. He was injured.
  9. Did anyone ever think otherwise?
  10. No Lallana or Stewart again even on the bench. Getting a bit ridiculous now.
  11. Oh dear. As more come to light this looks like it could become a real scandal.
  12. Yeah he's completely fallen out with people at Villa. I'd be wary labelling him a trouble maker because one move hasn't worked out though. You could have people saying similar about Fraser.
  13. All accounts? I saw it hasn't worked out at Villa and he's barely played but I haven't seen many other reports.
  14. Quite a lot of neutrals don't warm to him. I can't say he's my favourite person ever unlike someone like Adkins but he's been successful which speaks for itself and he deserves to be able to do things his way. He proved he could have success last year doing things his way.
  15. What about jhon Duran if West ham don't end up going with him? Out of our league?
  16. We haven't signed a new keeper. A keeper we had signed a new contract. There's no material change from the previous season. We have signed a striker but that simply replaces the one who already left. We need to sign some more quality in attacking positions to the extent that it gives us a chance of avoiding relegation.
  17. Not sure how that changes anything I just said?
  18. Yes I expect so. I was more putting up what I'd like us to be play assuming we got the players in we needed.
  19. They are both crap buy McCarthy is very much not worse than Bazunu.
  20. Yes that's the likely team at the moment. Rubbish midfield and attack for the prem and an average defence.
  21. Yes but neither are improvements on last year's team.
  22. Decent starter Sugawara Bednarek THB Taylor Downes decent starter Armstrong BD Decent starter With a decent winger as an option along with Aribo and Smallbone might give us a chance to survive.
  23. I think you misunderstand my post. I'm not actually bothered by it, I'm simply challenging the assertion that we have been busy and using loads of signing signed for Göztepe as evidence for that.
  24. The IBA were never stripped of their status for anything to do with faulty gender tests. If the process for the XY test was flawed then why not follow through with an appeal? That's a slam dunk and easy win surely. It would then be in the public domain with cast iron proof that they are biologically female and they can win loads in compensation to boot. Just imagine that someone makes a false and unverifiable claim that you are a biological male and bars you from the sport you are competing in. You'd be outraged and immediately appeal to the independent body to get it overturned. There's no logical reason why you wouldn't. Unless you didn't want the test to be publicly known. Where is your evidence that the tests were not conclusive? The athletes have the opportunity to appeal to the independent CAS who would be able to show definitively that the tests were not conclusive. Why would you not do so? There is a dispute, like I said this is the first time that the ioc have had to oversee this without deferring to the authorities running the sport. They differ from the IBA because the extent of their testing is checking the gender marker on a passport. There is not a single reason why the IBA would want to continue this fight and actually even damages them given the abuse they are receiving. In contrast the IOC have an awful lot to lose.
