Surely you fight for the faint chance that we get someone in and sneak into the playoffs or at the very least build momentum and give a new manager the time to get to know the squad for a promotion charge next season. Currently 10 points off sixth which isn't insurmountable albeit unlikely.

Why is there talk of a temporary manager? We are a few games into the season! We want a decent permanent manager. Why would you give up on this season already?

Let's be honest -all of these random Germans are going to be another risky appointment. If it doesn't get much better this could get nasty because there won't be a lot of leeway with fans.

Johannes Spors is leading Southampton's manager search and is believed to be looking towards Germany for preferred options –– Ralph Hasenhuttl is not one of them Unless it's Marco rose it's probably going to be some clever twatty appointment that no one will be happy with rather than someone with championship or English league experience.

I did neither of those things. All I'm saying is that in my opinion sitting on the bench at Everton, getting criticism from their fans and hearing noises from people who know him that he isn't happy makes me believe that leaving at this point of his career was the wrong move. Of course he may burst through in the next few months and prove me wrong but that isn't looking likely at the moment.

Oh god I completely dismissed the possibility of it being Martin. If this actually does happen I don't think I can take it mentally. The sight of him fucking up at Rangers filled my heart with joy. The job is obviously one of the top jobs outside of the Prem. Decent payers in paper but poorly managed and with a few tweaks should be able to climb the table. Will look decent by comparison if the manager does even an OK job. Many managers will be interested in that even if the owners are interfering asshole (lots of clubs have that.)
