How does that make him overhyped? -

Yeah and rodri has a shit scoring record -
Wouldn't you count the incoming for Armstrong in January?
-
He specifically mentioned players not going who had only been here a year with the implication being that those who had not been would be freer to leave if we received an acceptable offer. It was always obvious when we failed to gain promotion that we would be selling some players. Every team does it.
-
Adam Blackmore has had numerous interviews with people from the club including the owner and both him and Alfie house have stated consistently that we need to raise funds this summer and that that will involve losing some of the big names. It's also obvious that if you fail to go up you need to balance the books. It doesn't matter what you come back with to try to counter this. Charles is leaving and this is one of the reasons why.
-
Who are you selling instead?
-
Agreed. How I feel about this transfer is entirely dependent on how many of the other big names we keep or sell.

A really good but not yet great player who we will be able to cope without. I wish him well and he seems like a decent bloke who always tried his hardest with us. -
The striker is the big one for me. Selfish maybe but I'm hoping we get a top signing like Azaz and Fellows were when we went for them last year. No guarantees either way of course but it would make the start of the season rather exciting and Dragan did say we would be stronger than last season. With Stewart and Charles gone (and potentially others) that's a big ask!
-
Cool. I reckon we will see our mystery replacement signed soon. Get a striker in too then batten down the hatches and hope that no one goes big for any of our other big ones. Pray that THB stays.
-
Not sure anyone does?
-
Bit of a missed opportunity. If I were pompey manager -perish the thought- I'd be currying favour and milking it.
-
Who are you leaving him out to play though? Fellows/Matsuki Downes Jander Scienza Azaz/Dobbin Larin
-
Sure but they aren't going to care about that enough at this point to scrap it.
-
Why would the club care enough about the design of a second shirt? It will be released this week I'm sure.
-
Personally I'd have Adams in over Larin and I don't think it's relevant why Brooks was here, he was premier league quality for me and Azaz isn't consistent enough for my liking although hopefully this year. Like I said, it's definitely close, I just think we had more players that were too good for this division last time. I forgot about Stewart Armstrong as well he was also superb.
-
What nonsense. Very clearly we were looking to continue with the agreement and then Stewart agent wriggled out of it on a technicality because he thought he could get him more elsewhere. Yes we fucked up but nowhere is that a suggestion that we didn't offer him anything. He just didn't accept because he could get off it on a technicality. Oh and it's fount by the way numbnuts. Maybe try to be a bit less aggressive in your posting there's a good chap.

100%. We played some lovely stuff at times under Martin that season but it was very inconsistent and could be maddening.
-
I didn't say much worse just worse in my opinion. Kwp, Adams, Bednarek and David Brooks would likely get in my starting 11. Obviously THB, Manning and Downes are the same. An interested Armstrong played in his proper position could arguably stake a claim too.
-
It was also far superior in my opinion to the similar Martin run with worse players
-
I didn't say it was bad necessarily. I think many people were angry in the aftermath of what happened. Given he's a bit olfer than others Scienza may have viewed it as robbing him of potentially his last chance to play English top flight football.
-
Yeah I reckon it was too. Definitely makes sense. I still think he might leave.
-
Hopefully the surprise is that it isn't Azon.
-
It's not even a little bit wrong is it!
