  1. I know it's incredibly unlikely but just imagine if we lined up with New GK New RB THB Edwards Wellington Charles Downes Dibling Fernandes Edozie Stewart/New Striker We can dream.
  2. Even his most ardent supporters surely admit this isn't a good way to run things.
  3. Maybe Sulemana will come good and be brilliant. Doesn't change the fact that he's been pretty underwhelming for us so far and that amount of money is massive for someone who has failed so far. Pretty much impossible to turn that down even if he does suddenly get good more consistently.
  4. Yes I don't entirely disagree. I think THB and Downes fitted that criteria last time out. I expect we can sign a few players to get us up and then make them either squad players next year or loan them out if needed. We can't afford too many signings that are likely to be good enough for the prem.
  5. I personally think on a better team THB and Downes would have been alright in the prem. This season I'd like a mix of players good enough for the prem and then decent championship players that we will discard immediately if we go up.
  6. True. I just really hope our transfer strategy is half decent. I'll be honest I have never heard of any of the players we have signed or are linked with. Hopefully it's a rabbit or two out of the bag.
  7. I know we are going with a slightly different strategy but it's a real shame if we don't look at established championship performers to sign. Downes and THB were proven last time along with Armstrong and arguably Stewart although he didn't work out obviously. Getting all our signings from abroad is a bit of a risk. I'd like to see us linked with a few of the top players from the league already.
  8. I'm not sure in midfield or attack we are stronger at the moment. Assuming we lose Aribo, Fernandes maybe, Dibling, Onuachu and Sulemana. To surpass the championship quality of Aribo, Stuart Armstrong and even Che Adams will be a challenge if we want to say with confidence that we have a stronger team than last season.
  9. I personally don't think we'd get anywhere near that amount for him. Much more likely to be 6-7 million imo. You'd have to question if it's worth selling to the championship for that money. Maybe abroad?
  10. Will still teams play with proper wingers. Where would Armstrong fit in?
  11. The right thing to say when you're returning to the club but I bet he wished he had done things a bit differently. He could be remembered in the same way as some of our other greats.
  12. Agree with that. The best you can say is you can't really blame him for last year. I wonder if he ever regrets the manner that he left last time as he could have been really highly thought of here had he done things in the right way.
  13. People who deny the efficacy of vaccines or that overall the good they do outweighs rare side effects by orders of magnitude have the IQ of amoebas as far I'm concerned. It's not even worth engaging with.
  14. Correct. It's why Armstrong probably has to go but I'd prefer him to go somewhere that isn't the championship if we can.
  15. Has Jan koller signed yet?

I'm not sure I'd mark them as sensible! Like I said in an earlier post, I do think there are people who just want to argue on here. No one seriously advocates for a nuclear armed Iranian regime.

Thought you'd stumbled off to watch the telly? Run along now.

Where did they say that? Regime change in Iran is potentially a very good thing. For a start they don't have the clannish history of Iraq. I hope there is regime change for the peoe of Iran and I hope it's an improvement on what they have now.

Just a load of nonsense and misrepresentation. You're better off wandering off to watch the telly.

I'd favour regime change. I expect that will likely happen from within. I would consider it very unlikely at the moment that we are going to see American troops on the ground in Iran.

Limited strikes on nuclear facilities to prevent development of nuclear weapons is not comparable to Iraq. If we see boots on the ground from the West and decades of occupation then I'll likely change my mind.

I just think it's a couple of posters on here who fancy an argument. No one I've ever met in real life thinks it would be a good idea for Iran to get nuclear weapons.

I'm saying that in my opinion there is a risk that they would use them or that they could fall into the wrong hands that is unacceptable to me. My guess is you're being deliberately obtuse for some reason and pretending you don't know what I've said.

I didn't say I don't think they will use them. Goodness me.

I'd prefer that no countries had nuclear weapons but if there has to be some who have them then clearly there are some countries you would be more keen than others to not have them. I'm not sure why you'd consider that a controversial opinion.
