  1. OK then. Leave those who choose to discuss the possibility to it then. See you later.
  2. Knowing the business that John is in, and the people he mixes with I would say that if he has heard something it will most likely be from a business contact and would hold some credence. Could well not be true but it wouldn't be the most surprising thing in the world considering our owner is dead. No one has said they completely believe it, simply that they wouldn't be surprised. I imagine that Cortese would want to continue to be in charge should any sale happen though but that's just my opinion.
  3. Neither would I. With our owner gone it would make perfect logical sense. I would imagine that they will be sensible with the sale though and not sell to just anyone.
  4. It has been a rumour that has gone round since two summers ago. Doubt it is true but stranger things have happened. Can certainly see us being sold sooner rather than later. MLG will no come on and bore everyone to death.
  5. It works on mine. Weird.
  6. I would definitely donate. I reckon we should raise some funds to maybe bring him over. Not sure how that sort of thing is organised or I would set it up myself. If St Louis wants to sort something and he feels it is appropriate then that would be great!
  7. What is your take on it Steve? Surely it is a complete scandal? It means if Markus had not come along, we could have offered 90p in the pound and then gone into admin a year later offering miles less and scrapping the original cva with no penalty.
  8. What??? That is disgusting. A real low point of the football league. A disgrace.
  9. The fans profited from cheating and many showed no remorse and continue not to. Many actually feel they have been hard done by which is ridiculous.
  10. Works fine for me.
  11. Lol sat on the board at a hospital. Priceless.
  12. Apparently we still use some of the training regimes implemented by the Dutch duo for the youth teams.
  13. But I thought Gus said it was an achievement then would be remembered for decades?
  14. I don't think it was disappointing at all. It's entirely understandable that not a lot of people are interested in Orr season friendliest.
  15. It's quite possible to love the bloke for what he has done on the pitch whilst at the same time be pretty nonplussed by his interviews. As I said, largely it doesn't matter but it would be nice to know what he really thinks and feels every once in a while.
  16. I like nigel's comments but it would be good if he made some more interesting comments after each game. As long as he keeps winning its just a very minor point though.
  17. What someone says and what transpires is not always the same thing. Circumstances change and this sort of thing is good evidence to suggest that any commitment is a long term one. It's pretty sad that you can't just accept good news like this in the spirit it was clearly intended.
  18. Yes.
  19. I'll have it joe. In responsible for a French exchange student this weekend and thought I would take him to a game!
  20. Yep. There is a shop on Shirley high street that does it for about 70 I think. Opposite to the old woolworths.
  21. Now it is ridiculous. He has recovered and said he wants them to play.
  22. Because I wasn't 'wrong'. I was disappointed with the signing based on the Celtic fans comments. I never wrote him off before seeing him play. What was I wrong about?
  23. Of course. Brilliant that he turned out to be a gem. Nothing wrong with being disappointed by an arrival based on the available evidence. A few people (myself included) said they were disappointed based upon Celtic fans comments who had seen him play. Nothing wrong with making an initial comment about a player on a messageboard. It's not like people were booing him at the ground as soon as he arrived. It's exactly the same as being excited when we sign someone. I was pleased when we signed Lee but by your logic, I should not feel any emotion until I had seen him play. It's neither writing him off nor supporting him, it's making an initial comment about a player on a messageboard. I'm happy to say that the Celtic fans clearly did not know what they were talking about! (And arent we lucky.) Incorrect and misguided. You can't be wrong about an initial opinion.
  24. Doing a Southampton: To occupy the automatic promotion places for the majority of the season before losing your last eight games and finishing third.
