I think a lot of how on course we are will be to do with our acquisitions in this summers transfer market. I said it will be our most important period yet and if we get players in of lower quality than the ones who have (reportedly) turned us down for whatever reason, then there is a cause for concern there IMO. Whether that is the pulling power of the club, NC or NA I don't know but that would be concerning. Hopefully we will sign the sort of quality players we need though and that won't be an issue (and I shall say as much as well). Just so you can hold me to it, if we sign Maynard, a quality CB and Cork or players of comparable quality, then I will be very pleased with our business in the window (although possibly we could do with backup for Chamberlain.)

Absolutely not true. I thought I heard an interview recently from NC saying that we were still working to the five year plan and that it was business as usual? If we are not in the premiership at the end of the five years then the original plan was a failure. Correct?

Adkins is at a totally different club now and has completely different expectations with a different job to do. Transfers to a club like Southampton are hugely different to the type of players that S****horpe were looking for and could attract.

Then what is the point of a messageboard? If all we ever do is deal in facts? We don't have the answers so we look at the evidence and speculate. It's one of the things a messageboard is for.

By expressing your opinion on an internet forum, by definition you are stating your opinion in order for it to impact upon others. Why else would you be posting on here? I'm not stressing, simply giving my opinion at this moment. I'll also comment a week from now and at the end of the window where it is entirely possible for my opinion to have changed. It would be very dull if we weren't allowed to comment and give opinion over a period of time and as things change. I'm totally aware that there is time for the situation to change and if we have spent money or got in proven Quality without having to sell then I will post and say so. Will you do similar if our summer acquisitions are underwhelming? I can already predict what the likes of nickg will be saying.

Having taken an interest in the Pompey forums, I most certainly would not prefer him to those two. I don't think he has the pace required either.
