We really need to get cracking with some signings because historically we are slow starters And we need everyone bedded in and ready to go for the new season. Until we sign someone of proven quality or who will significantly improve the team, there will always be that worry there among some that our financial support has tailed off from last season.

I knew exactly what you meant. It does feel after having (potentially) lost our two brightest prospects to Arsenal in recent years that we are their feeder club and I share your frustration. In the short term though it may be the best move if we can use the money to strengthen in key areas.

Were you around on saintsforever? I assure you there were many bannings for simply holding a different view, not that Keith has anything to do with the site now. There are quite a few regular posters who won't entertain the idea that Cortese can do anything wrong, however small. All I want is the freedom to discuss both positive and negative rumour and its implications without being accused of having some sort of anti SFC agenda or whatever other things I and others have been accused of.

Positive news is praised and posters posting something negative (or anti SFC as some would see it) are mocked, laughed at and generally treated in what I would perceive to be an abusive manner. It used to happen with people who dared post anything remotely positive about Lowe, (note Keith and his bannings of certain posters) then people who were 'anti Wilde' and now it happens with people who don't think Cortese is a God. It's a common problem with this forum.

Posts are routinely jumped on and either praised or rejected and treated with scorn depending on whether news is positive or negative.
