  1. How do we know they have not tried? We know that Nick tried and was ignored. We also know that Benali is suing Cortese.
  2. Harder with Jaidi being old and not being able to play twice a week. I think we really need a long term partner for Fonte.
  3. A cynic would suggest that the club's PR company knew the Mail was running their story and so produced this piece as a convenient bit of PR...
  4. Thanks delldays.
  5. He has made some assumptions though. I highly doubt that the reason MLT is frustrated is because he is 'not involved' with the club. I sincerely wish that they would both put the past behind them and be able to work together for the good of SFC. I'm sure MLT would be broadly supportive of NC if he was welcomed to the club.
  6. And the quotes from Cortese at the season ticket dinner? Were they lying/mistaken as well?
  7. It is a stand-off that will sadden most Southampton supporters who, after so much division over the past decade, would simply like to see the past, present and future of their club functioning harmoniously. That is the key bit for me.
  8. “Factually, I was in the driver’s seat,” admittedly that is funny.
  9. Well this is a predictable and depressing thread.
  10. I was largely joking (and have been off work so time on my hands!)
  11. The issue is that because of their wealth and status they have effectively 'bought' this adoption in my eyes. If it had been any average 63 year old homosexual couple (if you can get an average version of that) they they would have been refused. The fact he has loads of money is half the problem.
  12. Well as Cortese confirmed to the season ticket holders at the dinner, the fans forum was something which needed to be organised as soon as possible. I would imagine it unlikely that he did not agree with the solent message but maybe I am mistaken.
  13. Going on what Solent (and people at the dinner) reported. Also lighten up. I was (mostly) joking.
  14. I can
  15. Thats not what the report from the season ticket dinner said.
  16. Said there would be a fans forum and no word of one as yet...
  17. I know that. What I'm saying is wealth should not be a factor when deciding who should and should not adopt kids. The fact that Elton is rich does not make him more suited to care for a child.
  18. That's half the problem!
  19. Not very fair of a mother to contact their child who they haven't seen for 18 years. Could mess up the child.
  20. Male and female? I need balanced babysitting from both sexes
  21. Anyway we won't agree. The only point I contend is that all children cannot benefit from a mother when growing up. You don't have to be a parent to see the numerous qualities a mother brings, many of which a man simply does not posses. Anyway well done on bringing up your children as a single parent, despite what certain lefty types think on here I was not trying to insult you.
  22. I will let you know
  23. When I have a child (you never know could be soon) I will come back to you with the exact same points. My parents had me and they believe the same thing. What would you say to them?
  24. The majority would disagree with you. I would imagine there are anomalies but the vast amount of literature on the subject (and my extensive personal experience due to my job) suggests that a mother is important in the development of a child, purely due to a male and female's genetic makeup, their different skills, how their brains are wired differently, that they play differently, that they teach differently etc.
