It's a regular refrain from posters. Check the original cms thread or the one about sharp. posters always say there is better available. I hope for our sake it's true.

Not sure I saw anyone say that in fairness.

It's quite amusing when some say what a great player someone is and as soon as they sign for someone else it's what a waste of money they are and how there is better available. Make up your minds!

Plenty of positive things to say. If we sig. Cork this week I will be very happy. Martin and lambert renewing contracts is good and something we needed to do. I still think Adkins needs to prove himself in the transfer market.

Hmm. NA's transfer record has not exactly been great thus far.

It's ridiculous to suggest cork is not a marquee signing. He would be excellent and a statement of intent and ambition. Doesn't look likely though IMO which isn't great. If we go for the npc equivalent of stephens forte and that pants right midfielder then it won't have improved the squad and is not a great start. The main question mark still hanging over Adkins is his ability in the transfer market both to attract the high calibre talents required and to choose the right ones to improve the team.

It's only disappointing if we don't get someone better in. It's a real shame because cms would have been perfect for us with his pace and work rate. I wonder if we are refusing to pay a penny over our valuation and thus players are choosing other clubs who pay that little bit extra in terms of wages or fees. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing tbh. Sometimes when you really want a player you have to go a little higher in order to tempt them over the others. I hope we are prepared to do that if needed. For the record, nugget would not be a better signing than cms at all.

Tbf your title says about the spine of the team an then you go and talk about something else. IMO the flanks are where we are strongest and it is the spine that needs strengthening. Most people agree that we need quality upgrades for jaidi and Hammond and a fast proven striker to play with lambert. Get them and I think we will have a good season.

Yep agree with this. Cm, striker and cb. Also a decent right winger should we sell chamberlain. On a personal level I would like to see us make a decent signing fairly soon so we know what level we can attract and to show ambition.

Three years old. Has a new keypad put in last year. Small crack on the apple at the back but otherwise works perfectly fine except that it needs a new battery. Only selling on behalf of my sister because she has a MacBook air now. Open to (sensible!) offers.

Not everyone wants to play for saints. Believe it or not there are better options available.

I'm not but if we are being turned down by our first choices so we have to go with the lower quality player, then I think that is a cause for concern. We want to get promoted asap and so we need the best players we can.

I reckon sharp didn't want to come here so asked for a lot in return for moving from the north. We said no so he walked away. Therefore we turned him down and he also turned us down so nobody is being untruthful.

Because we already announced that we were interested. It would be concerning if players keep turning us down. Are we offering the requires wages? Or is other factors?
