  1. And yet it's fine for Wes to suggest that I would rather have Mitchell when I never said anything of the sort! I am just reminding people that the actions of one crap chairman does not excuse the actions of another chairman even if that chairman is 'better.'
  2. I think most people would rather have Cortese, but that doesn't make Cortese immune from criticism
  3. Of course we are lucky to not have Mitchell and Cortese has quite a few positives. Not sure why you think I would prefer the Mitchell approach, I don't think I gave that impression anywhere in my first comment. There are negatives to the Cortese approach and maybe in some smaller areas he could learn from Mitchell (FULLY emracing club history for one.)
  4. Saints fans online- probably the least likely to accept an opinion which differs from their own.
  5. I love how people compare really cr*p chairmen with ours as if that then means we can excuse ours every time we feel there is room for improvement.
  6. Reply from Stu:
  7. I imagine your reservations are that it would be used as some sort of stick to beat Cortese with because he did away with the Ted Bates Trophy. I can see your point TBH.
  8. From Stu: Give this 'open letter' to him. It will not be a Ted Bates Trophy match. It will be a Ted Bates Memorial Day, on the weekend of his birthday ( provisional date ) , first weekend in May. A chance to raise money for charity, and remember Mr Southampton. A match involving the forums and ex-Saints players will be just one of a number of events through the day and evening.
  9. Do the losers have to give the keys to their respective forums to the victors for a week? If TUI wins does Stu become unbanned?
  10. Is Stu a UI player or SW? I will play if I am on the opposite team to smirking saint.
  11. The club not giving an explanation is an entirely separate issue to whether Nick did or did not give an explanation.
  12. Also extremely easy to get a bite on here. It is a good bit of PR for the club though, I imagine if the clubs PR advisers were asked about this they would have jumped at the chance. That's all I was saying. Now all we need is NC to put the club before his personal feelings towards club legends and everything will be great.
  13. I did apologise about that dune but honestly that wasn't me it was a mate logged into my account.
  14. Lambert would score more than Messi and Villa in league one.
  15. touche
  16. possibly
  17. it's part of my innernet persona. I think we could both be accused of 'going on a rant' on occasion but things could be much worse. We could be verbal or bridge too far (both of whom I suspect are exactly the same on here as they are in real life.)
  18. He should never have been banned in the first place.
  19. Fantastic bit of pr although a nice gesture obviously.
  20. Am also going on what S****horpe have said. Wig could play above this level, jury is out on forte
  21. I think that is fair though I would argue that his offsides got a lot better as he settled into English football. He became a real fans favourite and would loved to have seen him here now. Got to be a better option than forte
  22. The general. Not real fans those who knock never forget.
  23. Night Clark. Least you aren't like some who infract then talk after. Bajer being one
  24. He has pro en to no one. I have spoken to lawrie who made his feelings known and I am awRe of them
