I'm pretty sure whelk would consider the murder unacceptable.
-
Charlie Kirk is a more interesting case than most because as far as I'm aware all he ever did was talk to people. He had some views that people disagreed with or don't like but nothing that ever deserved violence or any sort of physical confrontation in response.
-
Maybe the evidence will eventually point that way but it seems less plausible imo.
-
In general I don't believe anyone should be held responsible for someone else committing violence even if they've used inflammatory language. The likes of Hassan Piker on the far left have said some abhorrent things but he's not responsible for whoever has killed Charlie Kirk. If you are in the business of ascribing blame to others though then in this case the evidence suggests you should be looking at speech on the other side of the spectrum.

I find it difficult to believe that the fbi don't know the suspect they are looking for. I expect they will release a name at some point if he isn't found.
-
Writing about transgenders and anti-fascist on bullets does rather suggest it is from someone who subscribes to far left ideology. That could turn out to be wrong of course but it seems the most likely conclusion given the available evidence so far.
-
I'd say that on the face of it it was the dangerous rhetoric on the other side of the political spectrum that has had some impact on this shooting given that it appears to have been carried out by someone on the far left.
-
Not saying I agree but some reports a gun has been found with bullets engraved with transgender and anti fascist wording on them which suggests it probably is someone on the far left who did this.
-
Are you suggesting he is in some way culpable for the shooting?

I largely agree. Not really about that though is it. Who advised that this was a good idea? -

Mandy sacked. Absolutely appalling judgement from Kier once again. -
I didn't actually want to watch it either but unfortunately it was on my twitter feed and I didn't realise what it was going to show.
-
I'd ban social media for under sixteen to be honest. Enforce it as well as you can.
-
I get that but maybe not the best time to bring it up immediately after he's been shot and killed.
-
It's social media. No one normal can watch that close up clip of the shooting and not be appaled and upset. I couldn't stop thinking about it to be honest. It's horrendous seeing a real shooting at close quarters like that. Also tragic because he seems like a guy that really was just a conservative wanting to use words and dialogue to give his point of view.
-
That's a pretty crass comment to be honest. The only person responsible for this is the person who shot him.

We know why the policy was introduced and it wasn't to make money. My friend is a headteacher in a private school in London. He says the parents of the wealthy students didn't bat an eyelid as it makes no difference to them. It's those who sacrifice a lot and scrimp and save to send their children there that have had to drop out. -
Two young kids as well. American gun culture is fucked up.

Fucking hell the video is horrible.
-
Damn that's pretty sad. Just saw the video.

Doesn't the land need decontaminating? Not sure it's big enough to be a concert venue is it?

Tuchel gets a lot of credit for picking players to form a team rather than just shoehorning in names. I hope this team is the one that's picked next time if the big guns are fit. They need to play themselves into contention.

The offense is posters attributing things to me that I have never said and suggesting that I use my wife's fictitious religion as a cover to hate Muslims. It's impossible to be offended by something that I know is untrue. It would be like claiming my wife has six fingers or purple hair. I'd similarly look to correct the record in those cases too.
-
I agree. My wife is not a Muslim but has an Arabic name. Her mother is English and married an Arab who is essentially non practising depending on who he is talking to and when it suits him. Many of my wife's family are practising Muslims.

I have actually posted on here extensively in the past but I can repeat myself again if you like. My understanding is that civilian to combatant deaths are broadly in line with what you would expect to see in an urban warfare environment (depending on who you ask). Incidents where IDF soldiers can be proven to have acted unlawfully in killing people, they should be held accountable and punished. I don't like the rhetoric of Smotrich and Ben gvir myself. Hamas should release the hostages and give up and then I think there would be a lot more sympathy were they continue to be attacked by Israel.
