  1. They should close it anyway. Nothing to do with saints. Some find him funny others do not. This thread is absolutely unnecessary.
  2. Why does anyone care? Seriously I couldn't give a sh*t and this isn't even saints related. I find Mike terribly unfunny but he seems like a nice bloke and does a lot for charity. Good for him.
  3. didn't someone on here say that Howard was being lined up if Reading failed to go up?
  4. If Blatter gets re-elected there should be protests.
  5. Always loved BFM.
  6. Erm. There is a HCDAJFU thread you know...
  7. We sell players yes, but we don't buy them so we can make a profit by selling them.
  8. You don't buy players in order to get a good return off them.
  9. An excellent post and one I totally agree with. Talking to this person did make me feel more positive though.
  10. You don't know the person involved so as I said, I'll handle that thanks. I've posted the info and some people found it interesting which was the point of the thread. I'm glad.
  11. I thought I'd seen a news article about it?
  12. That's my concern not yours.
  13. Does counteract the printing story.
  14. That's an incredibly stupid statement.
  15. But as I said some people didn't find it boring and meaningless. I just thought I would share what I had heard and it gives a bit of an insight into who Cortese is (how he is into sports science for instance.) Whatever you think, some people have deemed it worthy of discussion. I suggest if you find something so boring and meaningless in the future that you simply ignore the topic.
  16. My source had lunch with me not Cortese
  17. No one asked you to read it. It's nothing groundbreaking as I said, but just confirmation of what others have said and clearly some have found it interesting or they wouldn't have commented. Do you have a problem with me posting it?
  18. no he said something like (my memory is failing) 'he encouraged staff to come to him with projects and if he liked the look of them he would give the go ahead with money not being a problem. We're talking about potential projects costing around 20 million here so it's serious stuff.'
  19. I agree, just saying that is possibly a personal goal that Cortese has set himself.
  20. In The Know Matt Le Tiss
  21. He didn't say what the 20 million project was. I presume he meant the training ground but some sort of global scouting network would cost a bit I guess, not that he said anything like that.
  22. Thanks Phil, that makes much more sense.
  23. How could he possibly find out who it is? Cortese doesn't know me and I didn't name them!
  24. I guess we will see and at the back of my mind I'm still unnerved by what MLT says and what that ITK poster said on here (my memory is going.) I suppose when some of this infrastructure stuff is put into place, I will feel more at ease that this project is long term.
  25. I think he means in terms of the huge investment needed for top five and he is right. It's pretty difficult for Cortese to make it more than just words though until we actually get into the prem. If we invest hugely into the infrastructure instead of paying say thirty million for a player, then possibly we could attract the thirty million players as youngsters and keep hold of them as long as possible.
