Fair enough I don't pay enough attention to the snp. He's quite good in this debate.
-
Bet the snp are pleased they got this guy in instead of Humza for this election.
-
This moderator is very good though. Much better than lots of others I've heard at least. The green woman is very shrill and sounds like she is talking through a loudspeaker. Awful.
-
To be fair she's got a pretty impossible job here trying to defend the government. I don't actually care what the tories do once they are wiped out next month. Still think she could be tory leader though.
-
Farage has a command of figures which gives him an air of authority even if someone disagrees with him. Mordaunt shouting about the £2000 thing because polls showed it may have had some cut through the other day is pretty desperate.
-
Mordaunt does do a good job on presentation. She could well be the next LOTO. Such a shame she's a skate and doesn't know what a woman is.
-
New saints keeper Ramsdale has started well.
-
I don't like Mordaunt either. In terms of presentation, the green lady is horrendous and reminds me of Laurie penny which is awful in itself. The Welsh guy and snp bloke both come across well even though I completely disagree with them. Presentation is important in politics and Rayner is terrible. Farage always does a good job on things like this. The woman in the pink jacket (assume she's lib dem?) is entirely forgettable. None of them amazing though as someone else said.
-
Surely they could announce it though can't they?
-
Not really a sensible comparison is it.
-
Agree but I do hope when the inevitable interview comes that Blackmore puts the questions to him about the past and he takes the opportunity to apologise. Just ignoring it will leave a bit of a sour taste even if everyone has moved on.
-
I know it's shallow, but Angela Rayner not pronouncing her 'T's is incredibly grating.
-
In my opinion that's a ridiculous thing to say. Smallbone is unproven in the prem and played moderately well and very good at various times over the season. At the moment it's not even close to comporable.
-
That's not lack of leadership qualities though, he's just a different type of leader. Doubt he'd be captain now. Let's suppose he comes back here for the rest of his career. I wonder if he'd ever look back with regret. He's undoubtedly richer but he would have had his legend status confirmed had he stayed last year. Reports surfacing now that he's struggled to settle at West ham. I bet if he was watching at Wembley that he felt a pang of what might have been.
-
It's a balance though isn't it. I'm sure Manning and Shea Charles have also been good for morale but I don't want either of them anywhere near the squad next year if we are serious about survival. I can see the value of Stephens in a role you describe, but it should absolutely be as a squad player only unless his performances force himself into contention. If we do get rid of players like Stephens then presumably it will be because we want to sign proven quality replacements who will definitely be better so that's potentially a good sign. I can't see us doing it otherwise - I don't think he will go at all.
-
Bet they announce it tonight.
-
Don't disagree. Would be nice if the club did say to a few players "thanks for the promotion, you'll have great memories and a promotion bonus but now we need better than you can offer us." Think we'd have a better chance of survival in that scenario.
-
If we did get rid for some reason that would be great news as it means we are being ruthless and serious about staying up. Bit like binning off Jos. Don't think we will though.
-
Forgot about him! Was Ings ever acting captain?
-
He also has Jewish constituents who said he was very antisemitic. Truth is soggy you've been anti Israel for years now and have been desperate for a war to start so you could post your endless links from left wing publications bashing the Israelis and opining at length about the atrocities they have committed whilst devoting a cursory sentence or two to the other side because you've always been heavily biased against those you view as oppressors. Now you get to gleefully criticise them on basically a daily basis because it makes you feel a sense of moral superiority and the extent of your posting now is essentially this, posting about the far right and shouting at Tories.
-
Hopefully Stephens can be club captain and have a bit part role off the bench with someone else on the pitch being captain on the pitch (maybe JWP or Lallana LMAO). Alternatively bring back JWP and Lallana and make it a three way rotating captaincy!
-
Exactly. Personally I wouldn't be too sad if he did go but from his perspective why on Earth would he?
-
Last i looked the bookies had us 17th. So not the worst.
-
Loads of exciting links and signings last year. Then we got relegated and were shite. I'm up for a bit of pragmatism and unexciting but solid signings combined with a couple of big names from left field.
-
You can only really do so much to be fair. He wasn't exactly the type to get in a punch up with someone of the foreigners who don't give a shit. Very harsh to criticise him for lack of leadership when we don't know what was going on behind the scenes. Adam Blackmore was on a show earlier this week to say as much about us not knowing what goes on behind the scenes with a lot not reported.
