I think one of the problems is the whole registered user thing anyway. Giving registered users the ability to start threads would make such a difference.

To be honest I do think you respect the views of others and you have been on here a long time so you know the ropes. I can't remember ever having a falling out with you. OldNick may be another one too.

I also think robsk would be a good mod and Joenesu or whatever his name is.

I consider it extremely unlikely that I will be accepted but I would like to put myself forward for consideration. The main reasons are because I feel my views are in the minority, but the only thing I would like from this forum more is respect for someone to hold a certain view and less personal abuse. I'm on here a lot and I think I would be able to handle things fairly and be even handed. I've done some modding before and I think it would be a good idea to appoint mods with a wide range of views. I accept that I am unlikely to be chosen due to being too 'controversial' (and because I have p*ssed off both Baj and Steve in the past) but I'd like to give it a try and perhaps show that I can be sensible and fair given a chance! Whatever you decide, I'd like to express my thanks to all the mods, almost all of them I have never had any problems with. Thanks Joe

I can understand people resigning as mods but why are posters just stopping posting like Pilchards and St Landrew? Both were decent posters and Pilchards especially will be sorely missed.

In all the time you have been posting here, have you known the likes of Steve Grant to be rash with his posting or say stupid and unsubstantiated things? I can only speak for myself but I have always found him to be a very considered and sensible poster and one worth listening to. Do you honestly think that the likes of Steve are desperate to keep slating Cortese? I was actually a very strong supporter of Cortese initially (go and check my posting history if you like) but my opinion changed after a succession of what I would consider poor or misguided choices when no explanations were offered. I hate how the perfectly legitimate views of the likes of Steve and I are dismissed and we are portrayed as some sort of simple idiots who believe everything we are told and who have some sort of vendetta against Cortese. This is honestly not even close to the truth and I would like nothing better than for Cortese to reverse some of his more bizarre decisions or at the very least have some more openness and honesty with the fans.

I don't think there is anything wrong with people writing their initial reactions about a decision when it is taken. It is also natural that people will assume things if no explanation is given for a decision. If anything, my main gripe with Cortese is that too many 'controversial' decisions have been taken with little or no explanation given for them and all this when we were promised more transparency.

Erm no because I heard two separate instances of booing when Cortese was shown on the screen. I'm not assuming anything, I know what I heard. The fact that you heard something different is irrelevant. I'm not sure how you can argue and I can't believe I'm getting into this.

I think you are wrong that people have unrealistic expectations. Everyone knows that in the post Sky world we can't return to how football used to be. All I want is something a bit like Norwich, to feel that the club considers its supporters as one of the most important aspects of a club and to adjust things like price and the 'matchday experience' accordingly. At the moment I think we are being exploited slightly and I don't want us to become like Chelsea, even if we get a similar level of success. Knowing that the club listens to supporters is just as important as any success for me.

As is continually stated, supporting Cortese is very different from agreeing with everything he does.
