I actually agree with Tim on this one. Holmes is back, we have a new cb who looks handy, saga is raring to go and we have surprised a few teams just when it looked like we would get killed. Grumbling is only going to make things worse but support might just be beneficial. I'm praying for 21st and we aren't out of it yet. Win even 2 of the next 3 and our situation looks heaps better. Ok cork has gone but I'm hopeful that saga and the cb will add some experience we need with skacel davis perry and even surman nowadays! Add a mean dmf and we have a good chance of survival

Excellent article. I've always thought he liked the club and you can see he plainly cares. I would definitely play him up front with McGoldrick in the hole.

The fact is we will only go so low. We have a much larger fanbase than people in say league 2. Thus if we ever get there we will have a bit more money to spend.

Even the first Birmingham game we were pretty good IMO. I think it is a combination of the wingers and other teams figuring how to play against us which has knocked our confidence.

As far as I am aware he isn't going anywhere. As I have said before, his girlfriend is training to be a nurse in southampton. If he were to move anywhere it would be nearby but as yet I haven't heard anything. I haven't spoken to andy for a while though

A) He isn't old B) You have no idea at all what future class he will be. Kenwyne Jones was an awful player before we molded he and he improved dramatically. C) You can't judge that Holmes is not really the same player after 2 games! D) Players mature at a different rate. I doubt he will be as good as Cork at the moment and it may be that he is not a premiership class player. The thing is we aren't in the premiership. He only has to be a better LB than Skacel to improve the team, and it can't be that hard.

Meh. Lee Holmes seemed like a rubbish signing but has actually done really well so far (IMO). Lets hope this guy does as well.
