Clearly they've chosen the date and location in order to impact on rememberance. Come on you're not silly.

What's the big deal. I say let the BNP have a peaceful March on Eid or Windrush day. I don't see the problem.

On second thoughts. Let it go ahead.

Why was the EDL march banned in 2011? I can also answer for myself about what I feel cheers.

Because there's a high chance it's going to cause public disorder on that day in particular. Obviously.

I find it hard to understand how anyone could find the bombing of an ambulance outside a hospital funny but apparently we have a poster who does.

Regardless of our prior disagreements that's an astounding position to take and you can't seriously think that the two are entirely unrelated or that people shouldn't be outraged by it. I see the home secretary has linked to a previous time when a march was prohibited so there is precedent.

It's clearly inappropriate to protest on remembrance day. I doubt they will be able to stop it but they have to at least set up appropriate protection to prevent protest by the Cenotaph. It will be beyond the pail for many.

Sounds like the government are trying to ban it. Will be interesting to see how they get on with trying to stop it. Should be interesting.
  10. Rice and Maddison woukd have been there most likely. Absolutely mad that someone as good and proven as those two are basically ignored by a team like United in favour of shite. Not saying they would have all signed now but they've missed out on too many obvious signings.

That or green. They love a bit of moral grandstanding and confected, selective outrage. Right uo his street.
  12. Who do we want to win between Leicester and Leeds then? If you think Leicester are too far ahead already then you'd be looking for then to win so we can get above Leeds with a win.

Here's an excerpt from a 2019 article from Hamas: we will explode in the face of our enemies, with God's permission. The explosion is not only going to be in Gaza but also in the West Bank and abroad, God willing," Hamad said. "But our brothers outside are preparing, trying to prepare, warming up." He continued: "Seven million Palestinians outside, enough warming up, you have Jews with you in every place. You should attack every Jew possible in all the world and kill them." So seemingly not just a land dispute but all Jews in the world. Interesting.

Of course it's not misinformation. What a patronising thing to say. As if egg knows the truth of things just because he can use Google like everyone else. It's clear what it says and he's ignoring it and pretending it doesn't say that to suit his agenda. This type of misinformation and watering down of Hamas intentions is dangerous and may result in them being made to seem more sympathetic than they actually are.

It's why they stated they wanted to kill "the Jews." you've just ignored it because it isn't on your specific website link and doesn't suit your narrative. Wehtehr they have the capability to do it or not is a different question.

So it's your subjective definition of the word loads that you have a problem with. I said from the outset it was a not insignificant amount. In the hundreds at the very least which meets my definition of loads but I'm happy to use the word some if it makes you happier with it. Quite a number of people on the left have a history of antisemitism and it would be foolish to suggest otherwise.

'The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: 'O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.' (Article 7) You're trying to suggest that when they say they will fight "the Jews and kill them" that they are only talking about some Jews that they have a problem with? It doesn't say that. Regardless, like you say they don't make a distinction in practice so it's irrelevant even if you want to argue with the words on the page. It seems like you're picking a fight over your interpretation of the words "the Jews" and thinking that it means something over than "the Jews."

You're really clutching at straws if you don't believe Hamas would do its best to wipe out all Jews if it had the opportunity and the means to do so: After some general explanatory language about Hamas’s religious foundation and noble intentions, the covenant comes to the Islamic Resistance Movement’s raison d’être: the slaughter of Jews. “The Day of Judgement will not come about,” it proclaims, “until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.” Article 11 spells out why this annihilation of Jews is required. Palestine is described as an “Islamic War”—an endowment predicated on Muslim religious, education, or charitable principles and therefore inviolate to any other peoples or religions. Accordingly, the territory that now encompasses Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank is consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up … This War remains as long as earth and heaven remain. Any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void. In sum, any compromise over this land, including the moribund two-state solution, much less coexistence among faiths and peoples, is forbidden.

I think they made the difference quite clear a few weeks ago with all those rapings, beheadings and kidnappings.

This is heartening to see. We coukd do with much more of this from moderates and less of the extremists chanting about killing Israelis. When people like this gain prominence is when the chance for peace increases.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. They did change things in 2017. That wasn't the first time they called for the eradication of Jews though. You're acting like they were all fine up until a few years ago when they went loopy and hoodwinked Palestinians into voting for them. Just because they have become explicitly more extreme with their accord didn't mean that was the first time.

I've seen enough of it from the left myself and what has been reported in the media to see that it's not an insignificant amount. I didn't provide a number.
