  1. Indeed it was although we didn't have long nearer the top of the division than the bottom.
  2. Nah it was symptomatic of our possession for possessions sake and it stunk the place out. So glad our football now isn't about a fixed style but about doing what is necessary to win.
  3. It was bloody immense under Koeman when we were in Europe and had the best defence in the league.
  4. I heard that Tonda has a live feed of the match thread on a TV in the dressing room at half time. The composed posting is largely responsible for the victory.
  5. I think back to that game a lot. One shot they had all game it was a disgrace of a performance.
  6. I honestly don't think it matters. All the players who have played recently could play other than manning and they will do a good job. I think he will go for the win Tuesday and then take a look at the condition of the squad and go with the freshest plug and play options.
  7. Worth remembering that our last unbeaten run contained about a billion draws. This one has had three.
  8. Really pleased for Archer. He's always been decent at this level and just needed to regain some confidence. I'd be tempted to start him on Tuesday: Peretz Bree Stephens THB Manning Charles Bragg Azaz Fellows Archer Larin
  9. If Ipswich fail to win abd we beat Bristol City then wow that Ipswich game becomes massive.
  10. Well Millwall have done their bit. We now need to match them if we want to keep our hopes alive.
  11. What is worse -either they're all lying and there's been a cover up or they're so incompetent that this all happened and they didn't know (now we find out that they supposedly found all this out on Tuesday and didn't bother to tell the foreign secretary.)
  12. That could happen but seems pretty unlikely to me. You'd like to think that if it came to it we'd smash Preston on the last day to better their goal difference and they have Wrexham away who could still be fighting for playoffs.
  13. Won't matter if they do because we wi win all of our games...
  14. Watched a stream today that said that if Ipswich get promoted now with their away form then it will be unprecedented. Those three away games in a row including us is going to define their season. Draw to Boro Beat Charlton Draw with West brom Lose to saints Beat qpr Saints win their four and we finish above them.
  15. If we manage to beat Ipswich at home then I reckon we will do it.
  16. Big goal difference swing tonight. They'd only actually have to lose one because us winning them all means beating them. If that happens we'd be very likely to overtake their goal difference I would think. Still think it's not going to happen but it's not as outlandish as it was.
  17. I'm not quite believing we will go ten league wins in a row yet. Beat Swansea and Bristol City and I will start to believe.
  18. Brilliant win again. Hoping that Azaz isn't too badly injured and that Bree wasn't taken off due to injury. Have we heard anything?
  19. Also worth mentioning that men on average are more competitive and certainly more suited temperamentally to high level competitive events like sport. Obviously there are exceptions but it's not just society pushing men and women in certain directions. There are biological differences and different character traits on average.
  20. Possibly not although he's young enough so who knows in the future. Did shit here and well at Lens and who knows what sort of manager he will be in a decade When he won't even be mid 40s
  21. Definitely not defending him I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me if he was successful at other clubs and in other circumstances because he already has been. He's not someone like Selles who will be useless wherever he goes.
  22. I think separate from the point of biological fairness, it's true to say that women are given less exposure in sport generally and allowing men to compete in the women's competition is denying opportunities for exposure that women really need.
  23. A doctor's expert opinion on male advantage in darts: "Male advantage includes greater height, longer limbs, broader shoulders, more muscle mass, and stiffer tendons. These factors enhance reach, stability and throwing mechanics, affecting consistency and precision." Stance and throw. A combination of larger skeleton and advantageous biomechanics that maximise reach and more effective exploitation of forward lean contributes to an advantage for males in throwing mechanics and accuracy. Grip and motor control. Greater hand and arm strength delay fatigue of key muscles involved in release timing, supporting sustained scoring consistency in male players.
  24. Plenty of evidence at other clubs that he's a half decent manager even if he didn't show much during his brief tenure here. I would suggest he probably missed his regular support staff and wasn't experienced enough to handle the job largely on his own.
  25. Not sure I agree with that. His YouTube videos and things when he was talking in French made him seem quite direct and interesting. If he was successful everyone would love the way he talked, like how Tonda is actually really odd and his interviews are largely crap but no one cares because he's very successful. They'd be hating what he's like if he was losing.
