  1. We'd be in a much better position if all these players had left weeks ago. Having them all leave at once at the end of the window is the worst position to be in, particularly because other clubs know we are desperate.
  2. I agree with you. I would have tried shifting them weeks ago even if it was for slightly less. Had we got rid of kwp and Tino back then we may have had a chance for Aarons.
  3. Yep. Just like last summer when loads of people said not to panic and we had lots of striker targets lined up. When it came down to it no one was interested in joining and we ended up with no one. I think we will get players in but will they be good enough for promotion? I'm not sure and I'd go so far as to say probably not. Especially as any replacements won't have had any of our preseason which makes it all a bit pointless really.
  4. Sooner rather than later would have been a month ago.
  5. Our fiabnaces are better than every other team in the division. We should be able to blow the majority out of the water, certainly the ones without parachute payments. I'd be looking at Coventry and Middlesborough for certain. Swansea too.
  6. Of course the clubs will resist sling them but we have financialuscle to effectively bully them. The time is now to be ruthless in the market. Fans have done their bit with season ticket sales and support, time for the club to prove their new regime is decent.
  7. For me if he'd stayed and got us up then left he would be a legend. As it is he captained us to relegation.
  8. 100% this. If he goes he's old news and nothing like real legends such as Lambert.
  9. I hope he just stays away personally. If you're going to go then feck off and let's some other players hopefully save us. The season has started and this is a distraction we don't need.
  10. We really should be looking to buy the best of all the other teams in this division.
  11. He should be left back. In the changing room.
  12. I won't trust that we know what we're doing until I see evidence.
  13. Indeed. Absolutely nothing wrong with being nervous now seeing as we contrived to fuck up the last two transfer windows.
  14. Nah. We'd have a excellent chance of promotion next year. I agree though, we will do very well to reach promotion this year.
  15. Like Martin said, either you're committed or you're not. If he's going then just leave as quickly as possible, don't hang around in the team like it's a friendly match or a testimonial. We have a promotion to win and we need players who want to be here for the season.
  16. Some suggestion that he wants one more game to say goodbye to the fans. I hope he pisses off if he tries that and I wouldn't be sad to see him booed. Leave if you want but don't try and have your cake and eat it.
  17. I am also disappointed that he felt he had to go and that he couldn't give us one year. Personally I think any message he puts out will be a bit hollow and would be met with replies that he could have given us a year to see what happened. I know he was always likely to leave, I just thought we could have had a special player with a bit of a unique attitude. Sadly not.
  18. My mood is swinging back to questioning if the hierarchy know what they are doing again. Going into Saturday without Lavia and JWP is going to make things very difficult.
  19. Thays the realities of the championship I suppose. Still absolutely sucks.
  20. Feck.
  21. Lots of bad news this week. Would be good to get an exciting signing soon to get a bit of positivity back.
  22. Promotion at this stage is neither likely or not likely so that's a silly thing to say.
  23. Absolutely. This game just confirms and underlines that fact.
  24. We were in the Premier league a d late into the competition. When saints are in the top league we should absolutely be prioritising the cups as that's our best chance to win something. That is not the aim this year.
  25. Let's just imagine for a minute that Martin had played Stephens from the start instead of Perraud, we win the game but he gets injured and we are then forced to play Lyanco and Bednarek against Norwich. Would that have been a better outcome regardless of what happens on Saturday?
