Quite possibly. Any choices are going to piss off someone. It just so happened that a lot of the choices that Starmer made were ones I disagreed with and also he never even bothered trying to sell what he was trying to do or have some narrative that people could agree with. Many of his policies seemed totally random, reactionary and poorly thought through which is why he had so many uturns. Add to that his authoritarian streak and having an air of superiority whilst being rather poor and I can see why people had enough of him so quickly.

Not at all. You can celebrate the removal of a terrible prime minister whilst also being mindful of what is to come. Both can be true. We didn't get much of that when Starmer was elected. I'm sure I don't have to remind you of the reactions from mainstream media and news personalities about adults in the room and the quiet being nice.

It would be interesting to know if Starmer were to speak candidly if he actually thinks he has done much wrong over these last two years. I suspect he thinks he hasn't done much other than be trusting of advisors and it's other people and things that he hasn't taken responsibility for.
