That's used to be the case for me. Can't say I've felt that much recently outside of major sporting events.
-
Every year and it's still hilarious.
-
It was all over twitter - not sure why- and I was shocked and appaled by the details as I hadn't seen it before. I would say it very much is important to read about. Edit: now being remarked upon by MPs so clearly of relevance to this thread.

When did supermarkets switch their business model? It seems only a couple of years ago they started removing all discounts from stores and sticking them behind the walls of their loyalty cards.
-
I meant terrestrial telly. It's a live broadcast but you know what I mean surely.
-
Stating that there's nothong to be learnt from sending humans to Mars is akin to that quote from the 1800s that said that everything that can be invented has been invented I.E it's abject nonsense.

TBF Italian broadcast TV is much worse than anything on UK telly. Doesn't really matter though as I haven't watched live TV in years apart from Wallace and Gromit at Christmas so it doesn't affect me. Just don't pay the license.

He is white, straight and male though so it's not that revolutionary.

I don't want to see him removed from office undemocratically, I just would rather he didn't get a knighthood because it cheapens it and he's upset a lot of people. I also wouldn't want Boris getting one for the same reasons.

When you buy discounted stuff from the supermarket and the little stickers are almost impossible to scan so it takes forever.

Was there any tangible benefit to walking on the moon? Has there been no technological advancements or improvements as a result of that mission? Is the same point because there very obviously was incredible technological advancement from this sort of mission and it's a clear and tangible benefit. Anyway even though you're being a bit prickly about it it seems we agree. Musk can be an ego maniac and an arseholes but he can also have an incredibly positive impact on humanity for the reasons outlined.

See below Exactly which was my point which seems to have been missed. By any metric if it ever happens it will be an astounding achievement and arguably the greatest human feat.

Eh? I absolutely would if confronted with the graphic details of child rape like that. I was equally scathing of the likes of huw Edwards for supporting this sort of industry even though what he did was not the end of the world. I'm sure you're aware of the scandal involved with many of these cases and the amount of time and effort it took for something to be done to allow these convictions to take place. I listened to a podcast from one of the victims recently it was a real scandal.

I posted it because I had not seen these sentencing remarks before and am utterly appaled by it. It is not until you are confronted with graphic detail like that you even begin to comprehend the depravity of people engaged in this sort of thing. This is a thread about what is happening to the country. I would suggest that child rapists like this are a terrible part of the problem.

America walking on the moon was not done for altruistic reasons. In fact, almost every amazing world feat was done for competitive reasons or to feed an ego. Doesn't make them less great in my opinion.
-
What is happening to our country? I'd say this is a particular low point on certain metrics. I'm not a death penalty supporter but this sort of thing makes me reconsider:
-
Can't agree with that. You getting to Mars would be an unbelievable achievement.

I think Khan is a cunt and I'd be happy to see him not get one. I think he's unprofessional, has presided over some absolutely terrible policies and in my view doesn't particularly like Britain very much. His race isn't relevant to that but as you say, the entire system is a joke particularly after Sir Jim so I won't lose any sleep over it.
-
To be fair if Musk does get someone to Mars he will have achieved far more than Gates-whether it's for altruistic reasons or not.
-
Both have great achievements. I expect both of them are arseholes in person although obviously I've never met either of them.
-
Well I certainly wouldn't trust his competitors. At least he's voiced his concerns repeatedly. It remains to be seen if he's just lying or not.

I agree that if they are available I'd bring in the best championship striker we can get now and get them up to speed before next year. Looking at a list maybe Sainz or Latte Lath.
-
If we sell THB, Dibling, Ramsdale, Fernandes, Sulemana, kwp and Onuachu then we'd still be able to line up with Bazunu/new keeper Bree/Sugawara Bednarek Woods/Edward Taylor/manning Downes Charles/Smallbone Aribo/Lallana Armstrong Amo-Ameyaw/Fraser/edozie Archer/BBD I'd probably bring in another winger and a striker and probably an Aribo alternative but otherwise we really don't need to spend anything. People saying we will struggle are overestimating how much of a step down the quality is. We may struggle inexplicably but at the moment we'd be amongst the favourites for promotion and rightly so given our proven championship quality in virtually every area of the pitch (even weaker areas from last year should be stronger such as a more experienced Charles, a more clinical championship striker in Archer and hopefully a new and improved keeper. In fact the only area where we may look weaker is at rb.

I'm right near a toob mast so get blazing speeds as you do. I just really like the versatility of starlink that I use at work.
