Oh dear. I hope he doesn't mean he's not going to make the changes that need to happen on Saturday. -

Fraser slows us down and it's about the team not individuals. He shouldn't be in the starting 11 for me despite his usefulness in his adaptability. -

McCarthy Jelert Wood Edwards Quarshie Manning Downes Charles Armstrong Scienza Archer Would be my team for Saturday I think until we work out a way of playing well with four at the back. Bring on Fellows and Robinson. None of Bazunu Mads THB Stephens Wee man Downs Should be in the team but you know the majority will play. If Stephens keeps getting picked instead of Wood then it wouldn't surprise me if some people go all Jermaine Wright over him and start booing when his name is announced. -

For the money absolutely. He was clearly third choice though after the Armenian and the bloke from Coventry. Should have not bothered and used the money for a striker. -

I agree but I still think this is a million miles better than the weekend. Had we played this team on Saturday I think we would have done better. -

Square pegs in square holes for a change. OK we will lose this game and maybe get well beaten but finally, finally this has shown us we have some shoots that we can build on. Armstrong has to play in his best position, Wood has to play, Scienza looks interesting, Jander further forward is a good idea. Stephens and THB should be dropped with Armstrong captain imo. -

I've seen enough. This team should play Saturday. Absolutely miles better. Bin off Stephens, THB, wee man. -
The argument seems to be that there are a lot of other illegal immigrants who are dangerous who should leave as well. I expect if you asked ICE they would agree.
-
Well I'd rather try something else given that the existing personnel aren't performing. We have options so need to experiment.
-
Funny is funny.
-
Can we honestly say that wood and Edwards as the two cbs would be worse than Stephens and THB? Worth a try surely?
-
TBF wasn't it the blacking up that was the racist bit ?

Probably our most important position of the summer where we spent a big chunk of our budget.
-
Robinson then or invite Edozie back in from the cold.
-
A mate of mine made a good point today. We got rid of a lot of our proven championship performers from our starting 11 but the replacements have been worse thus far. Smallbone, Aribo, Edozie, Bree have shown they can do a half decent job in this league. I understand why we have replaced them all but I do wonder how sensible a strategy it has been.
-
Also the echo supporter suggesting we go back to five at the back. What an admission of failure that would be. Five at the back at home against anyone in this league is pathetic and an indictment of everyone responsible for recruitment if it happens.
-
And there we go. Despite some people on here saying we didn't need anyone else, our inability to sign a striker suited to our style of play is what is going to cost us dearly this season.
-
I think the reason to give still a few more games imo is because the new players have only really had a couple of games and some even less than that. I think we need a bit more evidence how his style- whatever it is -translates to some of these new players.
-
I think we need to give him a few more games to see if he can turn it around. What we have seen so far is totally unacceptable though with no sign it's going to be turned around. I don't know what system he is trying to play. We wasted a load of games playing five at the back when we never played that in preseason and now in a four if anything we look worse. Our defence is a disgrace given our financial resources and the fact we can't create any chances at all with the quality of players we have is baffling. Azaz, Fellows, Downs, Jander, Robinson, Edozie, Sesay, Matsuki, Scienza had nothing to do with last year's debacle. The manager should be able to put something out using those players to create more than one or two half chances over an entire game.
-
You're leaving out a lot of context there. We left Ralph n charge much too late when we should have just got rid in the summer. Replaced him with Jones who was clearly unsuitable and he had to go. At that point we just had to appoint someone to get to the end of the season. It's not about instant success but if we fail to win any of our next three with no signs of progress or a defined style of play then I don't see how Will can continue for a lot longer than that.
-
How many more games would you give will?
-
If we lose to Middlesborough and Sheffield United get something against us then I can't see him lasting much longer after that. Lose to derby after that and he'll be gone imo.
