A mate of mine made a good point today. We got rid of a lot of our proven championship performers from our starting 11 but the replacements have been worse thus far. Smallbone, Aribo, Edozie, Bree have shown they can do a half decent job in this league. I understand why we have replaced them all but I do wonder how sensible a strategy it has been.

Also the echo supporter suggesting we go back to five at the back. What an admission of failure that would be. Five at the back at home against anyone in this league is pathetic and an indictment of everyone responsible for recruitment if it happens.

And there we go. Despite some people on here saying we didn't need anyone else, our inability to sign a striker suited to our style of play is what is going to cost us dearly this season.

I think the reason to give still a few more games imo is because the new players have only really had a couple of games and some even less than that. I think we need a bit more evidence how his style- whatever it is -translates to some of these new players.

I think we need to give him a few more games to see if he can turn it around. What we have seen so far is totally unacceptable though with no sign it's going to be turned around. I don't know what system he is trying to play. We wasted a load of games playing five at the back when we never played that in preseason and now in a four if anything we look worse. Our defence is a disgrace given our financial resources and the fact we can't create any chances at all with the quality of players we have is baffling. Azaz, Fellows, Downs, Jander, Robinson, Edozie, Sesay, Matsuki, Scienza had nothing to do with last year's debacle. The manager should be able to put something out using those players to create more than one or two half chances over an entire game.

You're leaving out a lot of context there. We left Ralph n charge much too late when we should have just got rid in the summer. Replaced him with Jones who was clearly unsuitable and he had to go. At that point we just had to appoint someone to get to the end of the season. It's not about instant success but if we fail to win any of our next three with no signs of progress or a defined style of play then I don't see how Will can continue for a lot longer than that.

How many more games would you give will?

If we lose to Middlesborough and Sheffield United get something against us then I can't see him lasting much longer after that. Lose to derby after that and he'll be gone imo.

It's not pathetic nor embarrassing. The only thing pathetic and embarrassing is our managerial signing with no English football experience and our failures to address our giant holes in gk and up front. I voted to keep him by the way but three or four more games like this and I'll want him gone for sure.

And Sesay not getting a chance. He looked decent in preseason.

Isn't the fact that so many have done much worse than at other clubs points to an issue with the manager? I think the evidence at the moment is that the job is too big for him.

I think it's a bit premature to say that gi en someone like Scienza has had about half a game.

So do I. Even the couple of games we have won have been mostly awful. I think back to previous years and the entertainment I was provided with even when we lost. Games like this are terrible because you don't even have any positives to look at.

We have some good players who are playing far below what they are capable of. Any manager we get in needs to get the players playing at least to an average standard which should be enough to get a hell of a lot more points. Still isn't attacking enough and seemingly can't coach us to have more of a threat.

Not every goal is his fault but he makes too many mistakes and just isn't good enough. I can't believe I have to watch him again for another whole season. He's shit for where we are.

No it isn't. I said during the summer that success in the window for me would be replacing Bazunu in the starting 11. Our defence is awful and that starts with the keeper I'm afraid. No one has any confidence in him.
