  1. Oh god I completely dismissed the possibility of it being Martin. If this actually does happen I don't think I can take it mentally. The sight of him fucking up at Rangers filled my heart with joy. The moment he's back and the first time I see Stephens lose the ball in our own six yard box and concede I'm going to die inside.
  2. Wasn't it reported that Ralph wasn't great at the man management?
  3. The job is obviously one of the top jobs outside of the Prem. Decent payers in paper but poorly managed and with a few tweaks should be able to climb the table. Will look decent by comparison if the manager does even an OK job. Many managers will be interested in that even if the owners are interfering asshole (lots of clubs have that.)
  4. 4 at the back sports Republic aren't going to like that.
  5. Good I hope he plays ok. Whatever happens if he gets on the pitch I can actually enjoy rooting for a Saints player again other than Scienza.
  6. Tyler Dibling is an idiot. I'm not saying he would have improved much here after this shit show of the past few weeks but for the sake of his own development he really should have given it another season. I'm glad we sold him though.
  7. Fair play this actually made me burst out laughing.
  8. You didn't want Romeu or jwp back tbf. You didn't think they were needed.
  9. I'd rather have Martin back than Southgate. That's how little I think of Sir Gareth.
  10. Where is this Ralph rumour coming from? I've seen nothing to suggest it's likely other than the fact he was at one of our games.
  11. I know I was just agreeing with your point about still not having a clie
  12. Did he ever finish his Southampton playbook?
  13. Almost certainly it was us back in September who the players had said they weren't happy with the manager. I think Still was just a bit clueless tactically.
  14. Romeu Jander Fellows jwp Scienza Oyekunle Would be miles better than anything we've played recently. Fingers crossed they get that done in Jan.
  15. I believe the correct terms is 'mongs'.
  16. My guess is the majority don't want him back but if he starts winning a load of games people won't mind much.
  17. Oh my god.
  18. Exactly. None of the players who previously worked under Martin and who are still here are anyone that I would want to keep at the club
  19. Precisely. That's the exact problem summed up.
  20. Because the likes of Downs and the decision not to sign another striker we're clearly due to a data led approach that has left us in this mess. You need a certain level of data obviously but what your primary driver should be is looking at personalities and setting high standards rather than just spreadsheet numbers.
  21. Posted without comment
  22. You can just see that happening. A good early appointment to see us through to the end of the season then we start floundering again and they sack him to try to avoid relegation a couple of weeks after the January window closes (when we buy a new striker but he gets injured after a week.)
  23. I've said that exact same thing since I heard the lineup. Just go balls to the wall, tell your team to attack and leave it all on the line. Instead we got insipid business as usual. It was almost like he had given up.
  24. Agreed. Seems a lot more like someone you would root for than some of the twats we have had in charge.
  25. That would be very sports Republic.
