  1. Yes you are probably right. Like I said a bit too much of a conspiracy theory. It will be interesting to see what moves Blackrock does make in the UK though and also what hands farms do end up in. One claim is that young people who want to be farmers will be able to do so. Let's see if that happens.
  2. This sounds a bit conspiracy theory for my tastes, but given that Starmer has namechecked Blackrock directly, it's an interesting prediction nonetheless. Would explain the farmer strategy. https://x.com/DanielPriestley/status/1859888520740958371?t=PSIrwUF7tEaEpywJlJwN1Q&s=19
  3. Not sure about that. He's been pretty clear I thought on his going home with Adam and Joe recordings after games. I think the main difference between Martin and Jones is that he thought Jones was absolutely useless and he still thinks there is some potential with Martin as well as his achievements getting us up last year giving him some credit and all the players we have brought in specifically to play martin ball.

Yep. Whether Ukraine agree or forced to grudgingly accept it that will be part of any negotiation. Hopefully the terms will be tough for Russia that it's painful for them to agree to.

Q Where did I mention giving into putin's demands? It's a peace negotiation which will involve both sides having to give up things, that's how these things work. Of course it's not ideal but war and recovering from war never is. Russia and Putin will still have to survive with the consequences of their actions which will be continuing international pariah status for a period, sanctions and loss of life and a badly damaged country.

I'm not sure who you're calling a fuckwit here so my response is either one of the love heart emotions or something more passive aggressive.

Maybe. I heard talk of a dmz neutral zone in between the two countries with an understanding that escalation would lead to defensive actions from Ukraine and other countries.

What's your prediction for the most likely end scenario? Give it a go.

Getting round a table with strong enforcement of any agreement and effective safeguards in place is how it's going to end. I'd like to hear from someone who disagrees with that what scenario they consider to be more likely.
  10. That's a cop out in my opinion. It's very clear that some decisions have been taken for ideological reasons and not because they will make any significant amount of money and in fact may actually lose money in some cases. A lot of the choices made are political choices and not because they are forced to do so.
  11. The players must absolutely love him. Easy ride, doesn't get on their backs of they lose as long as they do what he's asked them to, still getting paid and get a friendly older brother type instead of a manager. Great for a summer camp but completely useless for inspiring a team to win and survive.
  12. No it won't. That will be the case if we don't go up within two seasons but at least the first year down you'd expect us to be able to keep some quality and be around the best in the division.
  13. Not sure why my Alan Partridge allusion prompted this post, but you'll get no argument from me that the majority of the Tory Party are not awful people who have been terrible for the country.
  14. So you're quibbling with what I've written?
  15. The sharpest increase in two years. If it wasn't happening then there would be nothing to post. I know that facts seem to upset you.
  16. So growth slowing and inflation up above the bank of England's target. Great...
  17. Let's be honest. Everyone wants to see him stuck under a cow.
  18. That's because the primary aim of it isn't to make money.
  19. Do you have to use nonsense hyperbole for every single talking point? How is forcing farmers to potentially sell farmland a good thing?
  20. Exactly. Incredibly obvious to anyone not soft in the head. Amazing that champions of the working man on the left are now seemingly in favour of corporations and big business who will be rubbing their hands at the chance to grab some of this land for themselves and further weaken our ability to feed ourselves.
  21. You're such an odious, bitter little toad. I feel sorry for you.
  22. Horrible bitterness and envy on display from some on social media. Woeful lack of understanding of the issue too.
