  1. Just had a listen. Adam seemed pretty shell-shocked by the interview with Jones. Said he's never owned being a Premier league manager. Reading between the lines I think Adam is quite shocked about what Jones is like.
  2. Does anyone know where I can listen to post match reactions from solent? I've listened to the Jones and jwp interviews but I wanted to hear what the analysts had to say.
  3. Apologies I thought I'd written Burley! My mind playing tricks on me.
  4. He was in a lower league with comparatively better players. He was a dismal failure imo.
  5. I agree with your first point. I think that Ralph made things stale and we badly needed a manager with real experience and knowhow to guide us.
  6. He makes no sense. He says again that players win games not systems and then he says that Brentford were successful because all the players no exactly what they should be doing. So Brentford have a system then that their players no really well and can execute successfully.
  7. It's the equivalent of someone answering what their greatest weakness in a job interview is with "the trouble is I work too hard."
  8. I hope that's true. They need to act or its a proper implosion.
  9. I don't even see a path to turning things around at this point after those interviews today. Now he has the fan, the players and presumably some of the coaching staff on his back too.
  10. Yep. People make mistakes. The mark of someone is when they recognise that and do something about it.
  11. He is the worst manager I have ever seen at Southampton and believe me that is a difficult title to attain.
  12. I do to a degree too. He's so clearly not up to the job and the abuse is just going to get worse and worse for him if he stays. I genuinely don't want him to be subjected to that really but the club should do it now and avoid it.
  13. I think the main issue is that the plan that Jones has involves attributes that most of our players don't possess because they aren't lower league scrapping types. Because they can't play that way, he doesn't know what to do because he's a limited manager.
  14. My guess is he's talking about other coaches maybe and the players which isn't outside sources.
  15. Yep. Accept relegation, give it to Selles and go hunting for an experienced manager next year to win promotion.
  16. Didn't one of the itk crowd say that some at the club had accepted that appointing Jones may have been a mistake?
  17. I won't be. If he continues to lose they can't continue with him following today's comments without really looking ridiculous and further damaging their credibility. If I were them I'd be seriously looking at booting him out before Tuesday and admitting an error to lessen the anger from the fans.
  18. Jones needs to go though. I'll continue to be angry the longer he stays in place.
  19. Anyone else happier this evening after accepting relegation? It's the hope that kills you and this is the first result where I no longer have any so I can just watch as an interested observer at the car crash for the rest of the season and hope that we bin Jones and start preparing for next year ASAP.
  20. Difficult to decipher his words but sounds to me like the players didn't want to play 5 at the back hoof ball either.
  21. Seriously who other than Nathan Jones and his family gives a fuck about what he did at Luton last year? It has zero relevance to Saints in the Premier league.
  22. It's so weird how he continually talks about the team before he got here and about his time at Luton.
  23. Genuinely the first laugh I've had today.
  24. And there I was starting to have some sympathy for him being over his head. The arrogant prick is going to play 5 at the back and lump it. Leave. Now.
  25. If Jones just left now and accepted he isn't up to the task, I suspect the fans would have sympathy for him. It's not his fault the board appointed him.
