If encouraging people to come here and do menial jobs becomes policy, why should these jobs be offered to the people who come in dinghys across the channel? If it's decided that that's what we need, I'd far rather offer those out to people who go through the correct routes to get here. I get that. Even things like the announcers and commentators are very light and informal. It makes it seem less consequential in their desire to make the whole thing more family friendly. They'd be better off looking at something like women's tennis which has done a really good job of marketing itself over the years.

I'm pleased it's getting a higher profile and I did watch the saints ladies promotion game and wanted them to win but generally the pace of the game is just too slow to keep my attention. I wonder if things would improve if they made the pitches a bit smaller?

Almost never nowadays. We've never replaced tadic or even had a player like him. Even Schneiderlin played that role quite well on occasion.
