  1. Well he's not wrong...
  2. A footballer with a bit of personality. Who would have thought it.
  3. Finally an issue that those of all political persuasions can unite around
  4. Soggy would be shocked if he knew my voting record.
  5. It's weird that this so called pack seems to target you more than anyone else. I wonder why that is?
  6. So exactly like I said then. Further investigation may have provided more evidence to suggest that the attack was to further a political ideology.
  7. I'm not sure that's true. Loads of terrorism is from religious ideogy and would occur regardless of any oppression or occupation.
  8. People apparently lose their sense of humour when someone uses a thread about the Plymouth shootings to point score yet use the phrase "living in your head rent free" and that's apparently a slur against mental health. You couldn't make it up. You're a nasty piece of work soggy and your latest post underlines that. You get annoyed at Lighthouse because he moderates fairly and that means correcting or removing a lot of your posts because you regularly cross the line.
  9. They should never have been invaded but I think the point is that once you have interfered you have a duty at the very least to at least attempt to leave in a proper fashion. If it is the case that the Taliban had bribed various officials to provide a seamless and unchallenged march to victory as soon as the US left, then its a rather monumental intelligence failure that this wasn't recognised and plans made sooner to get those who helped out. German officials essentially saying "well we didn't force them to help us" about Afghan interpreters is pretty disgusting and isn't going to encourage local assistance should invasions ever be required in future.
  10. "who do they think they are" define "they" in that sentence.
  11. Well there's quite a bit of that I disagree with so I'm not sure we do share the same opinion I'm afraid.
  12. I might have been labelled as such by some but anyone labelling it would have been incorrect until such time as the facts became clearer.
  13. Told you he'd say it was all a big joke didn't I. Hilarious to start calling people far right just after a 3 year old has been shot and killed.
  14. Sounds very similar.
  15. And these people can club together and find each other and get egged on.
  16. Yep agree with that. Very little that can be done if its not picked up by the people around them and these people offered support before it's too late. As you say at least we aren't in America.
  17. speaks for itself:
  18. There was clearly an opportunity to do things better than this. Processing quite a few people and a small amount getting left behind isn't exactly the same as the current situation is it.
  19. Exactly. I don't see how anyone could look at this situation and not think it's absolutely horrendous.
  20. Leaving thousands of people who would otherwise have left safely at the mercy of the Taliban is the issue. A scramble to remove American and British nationals is a shameful embarrassment not to mention Afghani allies.
  21. I didn't mention anything about why they were left, I was simply saying how awful it looks. Pictures beamed around the world of the Taliban in position of all this US military hardware looks terrible no matter what the reason for it being left. To leave in the manner that they did is an awful strategic error that was a huge mistake.
  22. Indeed. The problem isn't that they left its that they did it and then had no idea that everything would fall apart so quickly. It's a giant intelligence failure and it will cost many many lives. The sight of planes and weapons marked with US on them being stolen and used by the Taliban is nauseating. The people responsible should be ashamed.
  23. Don't be silly. The difference is obvious I don't have to spell it out. As you have said yourself, we currently have no evidence to establish if this was done in service of a political or religious ideology or if he simply got pissed off at his mum. The fact it may have been being an Incel that made him angry in the first case doesn't make it terrorism. It's tragic and horrible whatever it turns out to be anyway.
  24. I've just seen a press conference of Biden from a month ago. Bloody hell the sheer incompetence is breathtaking.
  25. I don't want soggy banned. On the contrary I think his posts should be highlighted and he should be free to post his bigoted and horrid views. The more people who see them, the more people understand who he is and they lose any sympathy they may have had for him like the poster above.
