  1. That may be true but I think we can give the lads credit where its due considering how many times we have thrown away any points. It's fantastic to get a result early in the season and takes some of the pressure of subsequent games. Hopefully we can nab a few results with some easier games coming up.
  2. Good on Ralph for trying something even if it fails.
  3. OK a really decent first half result. All means nothing if we throw it away again after the break. I'll get excited on the final whistle because I've been burnt too many times.
  4. It's not conceding before half time that's normally the issue it's our second half!
  5. When I see this team today I think back to the two 9-0 results and how much support and affection Ralph got from the fans. He's been given so much support but I think this could be the time that the fans start to turn on him. Previously we have blamed the players but I think that now it's increasingly clear that he has a share of the blame for this.
  6. If this is a total thrashing then I'm finally joining the Ralph out camp.
  7. How is Theo starting? No kwp? No Armstrong? Ridiculous.
  8. You're probably right. He probably has a value for marketing.
  9. Turnstile A was one of the greatest things ever. Also benthelegend, tubgirl, javi and saf. Those were the days.
  10. Panic over. Stand down.
  11. Surely this isn't true. If saints get rid of Armstrong then they can fuck right off.
  12. It's not really the managers decision is it if we have no cash. Like someone else said, really the Walcott deal was the one piece of business that wasn't essential this summer that maybe we could have done without and reinforced elsewhere like at the back.
  13. So weird that he didn't start last week. He's one of our most positive players when he plays.
  14. Yep I think the real issue we have is game management which to be honest is down to the manager. Individually Ralph has improved players but as a collective unit we seem unable to change games abd we pretty much never change tactics to get a victory. We either get success playing the same way we always do or we lose.
  15. I've already predicted relegation for us this year, I just wouldn't say at this stage you would call it probable. Newcastle will be down there, Norwich for definite and then you would only need one more probably someone like Watford, Palace or Brentford.
  16. I think good is pretty strong. If this is really it then it's been a competent summer at best. Losing ings and vestergaard without replacing their experience let alone strengthening the squad is a bit of a body blow to be honest and I think that overall we start the season probably a little weaker than we ended the last season.
  17. Probably is a bit strong.
  18. Yes but it's annoying when other people do it! It's harder for me to explain it away as just a typical fan reaction if a neutral is saying it too. Despite predicting relegation this year, there always a bit of hope that your just being unduly pessimistic.
  19. Who has done that?
  20. We pretty much are a club in decline TBF.
  21. Lunacy. If we go down this will be a big reason.
  22. I mean he really hasn't has he. There's a general consensus that he was vadyku improved last year and was probably our best centre back. That doesn't mean he was anything amazing though, it just highlights how poor we are in that position.
  23. The reason the club aren't doing it is because it was some corporate thing from the kit suppliers rather than something invented by saints hence Everton having the same top. Anyway whilst you're doing it, could you look into a matching jester hat to go with the kit?
  24. Again that's just stating the obvious.
