  1. I'm guessing they wanted Stephens to fulfill that role. I don't disagree though, it's why I really wanted us to sign Romeu even if he is a bit slower and less capable than before.
  2. Right then now that's finished. It's pretty hard to rate any window. Last year my rating was much too high. On paper we've done an excellent job of replacing the players we have lost and adding some threat going forwards. I'm concerned about our defence but I'm hoping that gets sorted and we couldn't realistically add another cb. We didn't have to keep Stephens but it's a choice and we probably would have replaced with another experienced player so I'm not too upset about it on reflection. Bit one for me as I've mentioned is in attack where I don't really think we have enough and we're relying on some of these players to suddenly find form. The Downs signing and the amount we paid for him seems inexplicable to me personally. Overall though I think it's been a good window. 7/10.
  3. You could imagine them coming up with them around the office. Media team have done a great job tbf
  4. Good way to end the window
  5. What's the point of having a window then. Ridiculous.
  6. Correct. Waiting game now for the winger and cheeky romeu on a free.
  7. Truth. Finishing a game on level 9 is disgusting though.
  8. Saints keeping us waiting. Shame they couldn't have just announced it early doors then we could do something else!
  9. Half an hour until the world's biggest slamming sesh.
  10. Still time to hear about the Downs loan to Bristol City that's definitely happening.
  11. One hour until a great big slamming session.
  12. Was cooler. Deals being done at 2am.
  13. Two hours before slamming comences.
  14. Of course. Doesn't make too much of a difference in a derby anyway.
  15. Feck just before the derby as well. Are they losing their other good player ?
  16. I,don't mind an experienced Cb in the squad. My question is if he should be a guaranteed starter every week. Particularly because he wasn't last time we were here so not sure what has changed.
  17. If he leaves now i think there will be a general sense of frustration that he hasn't really had a proper chance to show what he can do.
  18. I agree we just need it to actually happen now. I'm not sure anyone expects another striker do they?
  19. Maybe so but at the moment I have no hard evidence to say they are worse signings in terms on initial impact as they haven't played. The point is going into the season with a stuttering front line and goalkeeper feels like an unnecessary risk to take for me given how much we've strengthened elsewhere. I question buying potential in such a key position when what we really needed was the reliable quality of the calibre of an Azaz for example.
  20. So can Ronnie Edwards. I hope he doesn't go personally.
  21. You could have said the same thing about the midfielders before we signed them. There are loads of players available who would improve us I am sure. According to Alfie House we haven't even been looking in that area anyway so it's all a bit irrelevant.
  22. Please don't ever post about me again.
  23. We've had this conversation about 8 times during this window. I'll repeat what I said last time, it's not for me to suggest names that's what the club have a scouting department for.
  24. A striker on loan would make a lot of sense. I know it isn't happening but it's too important a position to risk imo.
  25. Didn't they receive a load of cash for the eze sale ?
