Assuming this winger come off there's a good argument to say we have the best midfield in the division. Probably mid table defence unless still can change the system to something that works and God know with the strikers probably quite low given how much they've lost their confidence. The hope must surely be that we create so many chances that the strikers will have to score eventually. It's risky but could work.

This is my concern also. Looks like we've improved chance creation but if the stats are anything to go by we were already doing pretty well on that metric -finishing chances and not making mistakes leading to goals are the two things we need to improve and neither of these are going to be solved by bolstering our wide positions.

We should have offered Armstrong to someone for 7 million which someone would have bit on. I reckon we could have got a half decent striker for something like 17 million which should be achievable for a club like us. I agree we've done well with our midfield additions for good prices.
