When you say "funded" you mean given 300k for a specific purpose? So not really funded at all then. It's an opinion piece that highlights the fact that climate protestors are held to a different standard than other protestor simply because some parts of the media and woke individuals on twitter consider them infallible. I don't think an opinion like that lacks credibility personally, it's undoubtedly true.
