I'd give us a 4 but it depends on how wp does. Soares leaving seemingly makes us weaker and disrupts the team that was on such a good run of form. I kind of understand it as he is leaving in the summer anyway but it really would have been better to keep him as we are left light still at the back.
-
What grade are we giving this window then? One out and one in.
-
Has been working unofficially at the club for a while.
-
There's not really a reason for him to quit now. One more season I reckon and if he can get us to mid table that's probably his lot.
-
No strengthening done in the window again, arguably weaker. Ho hum.

I'd like to think there's absolutely no chance of this happening now but with saints you never know for sure. I'd think there's not much chance. -
40 million for Redmond? Having a laugh.

We will see won't we.

I think we will get in: RB Lb Cb Cm . All of which we should be able to get in. Potentially a striker but we should be able to get in those 4 as a minimum. Bertrand will go and we might sign a backup player like walker Peters to cover rb and lb.

Cedric Soares - Official: Loaned to Arsenal

Wow we must be even more skint than we thought. -
The deal is we have no cover for our full backs. If Bertrand and soares are out together for any length of time then we will get murdered. We get some cover which at least means soares and Bertrand don't have to play every single game and spurs get some development for a player. Hopefully win win. Edit just seen we are getting rid of soares as well. Not great. Ah well at least we are unlikely to be relegated.

Whilst informative, looking at scoring rates on their own are a bit simplistic. Someone described Long as the modern day Ormerod, not for his playing style but because when he plays he allows other players to flourish. I'd be very satisfied with a striker with an average goalscoring rate to compete with Long who allows the likes of Ings to do his stuff. If we aren't selling him, maybe Adams will become that player.
-
I just don't believe that we would be unable to find a striker better than Adams without breaking our record transfer fee. OK you could argue we would maybe have to spend 25-30 million but it's not like Adams is a world beater even if I still believe he has a bit of potential. Again, I don't really want to sell him but I'd bet we could get someone as "successful" with the cash.

See I love this question because it really isn't the job of a random fan to reel off a list of names. Did anyone know who mane was before we signed him? Pelle wasn't that well known either, nor was djenepo or any other number of players we have signed. I'm certain there are strikers available who are better than Adams for 22 million or less. I'm not saying we should sell him but if we do we should be able to find a replacement.

If cedric is injured for another month then it's really only about six games. -

Correct. Really depends who we bring in over the summer though. -
Well then that's pretty dumb if it's what we end up doing but even so we aren't getting relegated and maybe soares really wants to leave.

Why are you still going on about relegation? Stop looking backwards and being negative, it's an exciting new season and Jake Vokins is kissing the badge on a billboard outside the stadium so you know they're serious. -
I hardly think replacing Soares is going to result in too huge a difference in the league. It wasn't that many games ago that he was absolutely rubbish with very little effort. If we think we have found his replacement and we can bring him in and give him six months to bed in before next season then I'd be up for it. We'd also get a few more million for transfers which given our financial situation is probably a good thing.
-
TBF though it would be worth selling Soares if the alternative is him leaving for nothing. We are almost certainly safe now anyway.

And the usual people on here will absolutely love it. -
I don't care about a 50p but it's hilarious seeing the usual people having a meltdown about it.

I text my ex spurs youth team abd ex professional brother in law about him. He just said "Average. Needs game time."
