Eh? I'm nothing to do with Glasgow! I don't have a new account, I've always had this one.

Manolo Gabbiadini: Joins Sampdoria - Official

I concur. -
Plus two January transfer window debacles.
-
I think the fact you are in the extreme minority here should tell you something about your opinion. Hughes kept us up and deserves a crack to see what he can do on that basis alone. The fact the players like him and are playing for him is another bonus. It would be incredibly harsh to discard him now.
-
Nope he had the worst squad the premier league has ever seen. Whilst our team wasn't great, we should have been nowhere near relegation.
-
Worst manager we have had since I've been supporting saints. I would have preferred to have wigley or portvliet in charge. Even Dennis wise and the Mike Bassett bloke he had with him.
-
If the comparison is the "style" from the rest of the season- even worse than our championship relegation season for me- then sign me up.
-
I'm glad I'll never have to think about this season again. It's been a complete shambles, only salvaged by a hail Mary appointment in the final few games. Les Reed and Ralph have to go, they have been appaling for two years and have continued to be endlessly patronising. I want some straight talking from the manager so Hughes will provide some of that and I want something similar from those at the top - which means the current incumbents have to leave as they incapable of providing that.
-
No thanks. Resign Les and let your successor sort things.
-
It's unanimous. Hughes please, he deserves it.
-
It's going to be absolutely sickening if they do go down that route. Saying things like "we never panicked" "we showed loyalty but changed things when it mattered" "Hughes has been on our radar for a long time and he will now be leading us to a new era with exciting and attacking football which is the Southampton way." Don't forget "this has been a challenging season with the VVD saga largely to blame for our temporary difficulties. With our acquisition team in place, we know that a small club like Southampton have the capability to double digit next year."
-
Which you can sort of understand considering they have won the league.

Relegated Teams - Players who would you buy from their Squads?

Mccarthy, romeu and yoshida are alright. Everyone else I couldn't really give much of a sh*t about considering how bad we have been. -

Agreed. I'd rather go for some of the stars of teams that are going to miss out in the playoffs or other stars of the lower leagues. Sessegnon is obviously out of our reach but James maddison would be good. Ryan fredricks in defence maybe? Has Ben Gibson been good this year? Is Bradley Dack worth a punt for the squad? -
Something about learning from mistakes and realising the need for greater investment would have been good instead of just w*nking over average to poor signings like they have been amazing value. Bednarek and our keeper are only playing because the very expensive alternatives have been so terrible by comparison. I notice they said nothing about boufal and carillo and I would challenge the opinion that hoedt has been anything more than a failure thus far.
-
Tbf that was Cortese not these numpties.
-
McCarthy has looked good recently but he's hardly the strongest keeper in the world either. Lest we forget the five year extension and reported 80K a week for his predecessor too...
-
A very concerning article which suggests the club haven't learnt a thing and we'll get more of the patronising b*llocks next year. Ho hum.
-
People moaned about the fans earlier in the season but the players had to give us something to support. The last few games they have actually showed fight and heart and it has encouraged the fans to give the full-throated backing that they are capable of.
-
There is shame in preferring relegation over appointing Hughes like mulletsaint, or the other posters who backed sacking pellegrino but were grumbling at the thought of Hughes in March in the dire situation we were in. Hughes was obviously the best choice available at the time we appointed him and I'm incredibly glad that he has almost certainly kept us up and made a few people look incredibly silly in the process.
-
Really makes a bit of a mockery of those few people on here wailing because we appointed him and then entirely unable to name some better alternatives. I bet oldnick is still bummed out that kelvin didn't get the job.
-
I always said it was mainly the abysmal managers that have been the problem.
-
I'm absolutely drained. Sign Hughes up please and then sack those c*nts in the boardroom.
-
I can't deal with this.

What would your preference be out of interest? Personally I'd have like to see Labour have an incredibly poor result which may have made them reconsider the path they have been going down and maybe transform themselves into a party worth voting for again.
