  1. No the absolutely huge positive is that we have replaced someone who was definitely relegating us with someone who may be able to keep us up. You call it dull and predictable but u really fail to see who else we could have got at this point.
  2. But completely different manager with many more strengths so most likely totally different results
  3. Ignore the boring people whining about how underwhelmed they are. You're a good experienced manager who has hugely improved our chances of beating the drop. Atmosphere should now be better than it has been all season and i look forward to see how much of this appaling football you can coach out if us in 8 games even if we can't quite stay up. Welcome on board and best of luck- I hope you have the support of evert saints fan.
  4. Carillo was there the evening after he made his debut. Must be popular with the players.
  5. Definitely should have been kelvin.
  6. Appreciate it bud xxx
  7. How sweet. Soggy has his own little defender!
  8. Hmm so potentially we are contractually obliged to have him in charge. No wonder he is doing whatever he likes! He's like the worst bits of Cortese but without the good bits and without having to answer to anyone.
  9. Agreed.
  10. I don't find calling someone not a fan for preferring relegation to a new manager to be particularly aggressive but I'm glad you don't worry yourself and that you can take this place as the message board forum that it is and nothing more. Let's hope more can accept that reality.
  11. Lol. Nothing to do with nasty words hurting my feelings.
  12. Yes mullet. Don't let hypo and his nasty words drive you screaming from the forum. You're a stronger person than that. I believe in you.
  13. Ahhh soggy wrong again I'm afraid. Run along now.
  14. No that isn't what was said, you've misunderstood. Posters are saying they would prefer to go down with the hopes that we would have a new progressive regime rather than appoint Hughes even if it meant we stayed up- or even if it increased our chances of survival. That's complete madness.
  15. Well you've just contradicted yourself there. There's no guarantee at all that we would see a "new progressive regime" with relegation. What would most likely happen is what happened last time. We would get saddled with a load of overpaid players we can't really afford and anyone with any promise will leave. I wonder if Sunderland were saying they would have taken "a couple of season in the Championship" this time last year?
  16. Fancy explaining why?
  17. Kindly show me where I said Hughes was guaranteed to keep us up? You won't be able to find it because I didn't say it. If you're so thin skinned that you let a few posts on a forum drive you away then I can't imagine too many will be sad to see you go.
  18. Quite possibly. Probably better to get someone in who largely agrees with his direction to be fair.
  19. Apparently it was to do with Trump's aggressive stance towards North Korea.
  20. Personally I think that's crazy. The only person I could see feeling like that about is redknapp. I'd take almost anyone else if it meant the club being successful. I certainly can't see why someone would feel that strongly about Hughes.
  21. Anyone who would prefer to get relegated rather than appoint Mark Hughes isn't a fan.
  22. Utterly mental. It seems some people would rather get relegated than appoint Mark Hughes and maybe stay up. Says a lot about some of our so called fans.
  23. The point is that some people would not be satisfied with whoever we got. They have completely unrealistic expectations and very little understanding of our situation. Hughes is probably the best person we could get who would be happy to come in for these final 8 games and who knows the league so doesn't need much bedding in.
  24. According to some only the worst performance is relevant!
  25. That's the reaction of every normal person.
