Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche
hypochondriac replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Well no because pass completion means the pass has to be completed do its a successfully pass. Theoretically someone could have a lower headers won record but the headers could actually end up somewhere useful. -
Why do you think he has not been sacked yet?

I think Billy Davies or Paul jewell would and that's really saying something! -
What are you blathering about? I did no such thing, I was simply agreeing that there are Italians who aren't particularly happy with the Euro- as evidenced by these elections.
-
I also have a number of Italian relatives who express similar sentiments--particularly about the euro. When it was introduced, all the shops capitalised on the confusion to raise all their prices and they never came down.
-
He's here to the bitter end of the season.
-
I think it's dishonest to state that the success of parties who routinely expressed anti EU sentiment is not at least partly due to euro scepticism. At the very least it's a sign that a significant number are not pro EU.
-
But it certainly shows there is a significant number who are sceptical of the EU and its aims. Its at least partly why they voted for the euro sceptic parties along with having a distrust of the establishment parties.

Our support has never been amazing but I can't really blame anyone at the moment for being part of a flat atmosphere. I defy any crowd to sit through two seasons of home performances like we have just had and then produce anything else. -
You see how is it a positive thing that almost half of the population in various countries have a negative opinion of the EU? That's hardly something to be happy with. Italy and their elections once again show the dissatisfaction for the EU and their policies with the largest single party being the euro sceptic party.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
hypochondriac replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
My guess is that those threads would be short because everyone would just be agreeing that knife crimes and acid attacks by indigenous people is disgusting and that more should be done in partnership with local communities and police to tackle it. The difference with this topic is you get page after page of the same few people- mostly yourself to be fair- knocking down strawmen and making up arguments like "not all Muslims" "what about the Crusades?" "Christians are evil too" "Nazis are Christians and had Christian belt buckles" "Katie Hopkins compared herself to Christ so is definitely Christian" "Islam is a peaceful religion" "the Islamic religion is not dominated by individuals with regressive views" etc etc etc ad nauseum. It's no wonder this topic is a lengthy one when that sort of guff begs to be challenged. Add to that that people are quite stirred with emotion when it comes to bit terrorist incidents like London and Manchester and it's no wonder at all that these events and how our society treats them is widely discussed. I'd also be willing to bet that people would have a hell of a lot more to say if stabbers in London were being guided by an extremist ideology and explicitly stated they were stabbing people in the name of their god. If there were Christian rape gangs operating in the North or England and one of the primary reasons cited for their abuse was their faith then there would absolutely be a number of pages talking about it on here and rightly so. 124 pages and we've somehow managed to return to that post-apocalyptic hellhole that is Maidstone. At this point it's rather like a cross between Mad Max and the future world from the Terminator films such is the depravity committed in that town on an hourly basis. #prayforMaidstone. -
Not that any of you REALLY believe it.....

That's true to an extent but when you have won one game since November, I don't think our fans are overreacting to the threat of relegation. -

That's all very honourable but that should have been the position up until about 4 months ago when it became patently obvious that he isn't up to the task. Someone has shown a serious lack of judgement by not firing him in good time and if we go down then that will be the primary cause for me. -
Well no because I find rip to be even more of an empty platitude than what I wrote but I'd rather hope that the ones left behind who knew him personally are being supported so they can find the sadness more bearable.
-
Undoubtedly better. Its why I had some sympathy with those wanting a loss.
-
I think what's more interesting is how much her majority shrank and how well AFD did. Across Europe there is a move away from traditional left wing pro European parties and a growing number are voicing their dissatisfaction for the EU. It will catch up with them eventually even if the numbers haven't yet translated to electoral success in the main.

You haven't exactly been famed for your foresight. I'm happy with the judgement of my own eyes after watching every game he's been involved in so far. He doesn't do nearly enough to justify his inclusion as the lone striker. We bought him because there were very few or none who were happy to join us. -
Doesn't put anything into perspective as I didn't know him and he's just an image and a name on a screen but I'm sure his family would be very sad that he passed away so young so I hope there are people supporting them.

Seen nothing to change this assessment so far. -
Nah. If we were 3-0 down to someone like Stoke at home then there would be a load of protests. The problem is we have been awful and unadventurous all season but not inept enough that we have been hammered.
-
Apathy. The reality is we are at the mercy of the owner and with the insipid performances there hasnt been a hammering bad enough to spout anyone into action. As it stands we are out of the relegation zone with a chance of survival even if its small. Tough to get people up for that.

Stay strong whelk #prayforwhelk

I was going to write that! Haven't the foggiest.
-
Because if its in a world cup final or a playoff final, cheating can be worth hundreds of millions.
-
That's the problem then in that case. It shouldn't be used in matters which are 50/50.
