So actually complete and utter made up tosh. I was never upset about those claims and you were unable to substantiate what you said. Apology accepted. As ohio said, it's really not worth getting all upset about.
-
Kindly show where I was "upset" about Uniteds pr team writing something for Shaw to sign? Its a load of other people getting their knickers in a twist that anyone would even suggest something so heinous.
-
Indeed. Totally bizarre thing to get upset about.
-
Wow what an overreaction from some on here when someone dares to suggest that this was probably not written by Shaw but by Uniteds pr company even if he may have shared the sentiment.
-
Hmm. The cynic in me assumes this was some sort of pr thing because it's typed up on headed paper and he has just signed it at the bottom (he never struck me as the most erudite individual.) hopefully not.

OK well I disagree. I certainly disagree that any of those other players mentioned sums up that period better than keegan. It's the biggest transfer in our history.
-
I don't think it's precious to point out when you are being rude, particularly because I was perfectly civil to you. Par for the course from some on here though. I don't think our period of success in the late 70s to 80s was that short. Certainly longer than the 60 days you were claiming. It is my opinion as I previously stated that the players on the banner are not there as "legends" though most of them could be considered that. They are there to show the history of sfc and keegan sums up that as much as anyone else from the 80s.
-
Well no need to be rude about what was a perfectly civil conversation up until that point. My point which you have missed is that that era when we performed above ourselves and had a lot of success spanned a much greater time span that 60 games but that period was summed up by the signing of keegan and thus he is an appropriate figure for the banned despite not playing many games.
-
He represents the time when we had success and gave the big boys a bloody nose and shocked a lot of people. I think he represents that we'll as probably the biggest signing we have ever made.
-
Every time this comes up it shows that people misunderstand what each player represents. They are era defining players. Yes Fonte has had more of an impact than keegan but keegan definitely represents that era and should stay for that reason
-
Yep. If he mugged us off and left this summer I doubt everyone would be so keen!
-
This basically. They generally come back to bite you on the bum. Looks like a decent signing on the face of it though.
-
Both of those choices are rubbish. I'd prefer Liam Fox or Crabb

CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons

I disagree. It's not that we have overestimated how good they have been, it's that they have not performed as well when outside of our setup. -
CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons

I think the statement that mane is replaceable will come back to bite some people on the bum. He's one of the best attacking players we have ever had and will be sorely missed. -
What do we say when he is rubbish? Claude poo hell?

Have you read the reaction on social media, from many remain commentators in the media etc
-
No one was smugly gloating. Lots of people are saying it's the end of the world though, maybe you should be saving your advice about waiting for them.
-
Sorry to break it to you but the sky hasn't fallen in.

Odd thing to say. Icke is a nutter but that doesn't mean that every opinion he has is nutty. Most of what was in that post was factual.
-
That isn't where I got it from. Clown.

"A Prime Minister resigned. The £ plummeted. The FTSE 100 lost significant ground. But then the £ rallied past February levels, and the FTSE closed on a weekly high: 2.4% up on last Friday, its best performance in 4 months. President Obama decided we wouldn't be at the 'back of the queue' after all and that our 'special relationship' was still strong. The French President confirmed the Le Touquet agreement would stay in place. The President of the European Commission stated Brexit negations would be 'orderly' and stressed the UK would continue to be a 'close partner' of the EU. A big bank denied reports it would shift 2,000 staff overseas. The CBI, vehemently anti-Brexit during the referendum campaign, stated British business was resilient and would adapt. Several countries outside the EU stated they wished to begin bi-lateral trade talks with the UK immediately. If this was the predicted apocalypse, well, it was a very British one. It was all over by teatime. Not a bad first day of freedom."
-
Yep. I thought leave had lost last night and I simply said never mind let's move on. It's not the apocalypse but the way some people have been going on this morning it's like it's the end of the world.
-
Yep. Get a few of them out and then join a trading block again which is what it was supposed to be in the first place.

I was going to bed but I'm not sure I can now...
