  1. Well you've just contradicted yourself there. There's no guarantee at all that we would see a "new progressive regime" with relegation. What would most likely happen is what happened last time. We would get saddled with a load of overpaid players we can't really afford and anyone with any promise will leave. I wonder if Sunderland were saying they would have taken "a couple of season in the Championship" this time last year?
  2. Fancy explaining why?
  3. Kindly show me where I said Hughes was guaranteed to keep us up? You won't be able to find it because I didn't say it. If you're so thin skinned that you let a few posts on a forum drive you away then I can't imagine too many will be sad to see you go.
  4. Quite possibly. Probably better to get someone in who largely agrees with his direction to be fair.
  5. Apparently it was to do with Trump's aggressive stance towards North Korea.
  6. Personally I think that's crazy. The only person I could see feeling like that about is redknapp. I'd take almost anyone else if it meant the club being successful. I certainly can't see why someone would feel that strongly about Hughes.
  7. Anyone who would prefer to get relegated rather than appoint Mark Hughes isn't a fan.
  8. Utterly mental. It seems some people would rather get relegated than appoint Mark Hughes and maybe stay up. Says a lot about some of our so called fans.
  9. The point is that some people would not be satisfied with whoever we got. They have completely unrealistic expectations and very little understanding of our situation. Hughes is probably the best person we could get who would be happy to come in for these final 8 games and who knows the league so doesn't need much bedding in.
  10. According to some only the worst performance is relevant!
  11. That's the reaction of every normal person.
  12. Getting rid of pellegrino- basically the worst manager we have ever had- and replacing him with someone miles better is definitely positive news. The fact you think that someone who has had some success in this division is "just as useless" as pellegrino is remarkable. I genuinely didn't think we had fans like this. Unbelievable.
  13. Are you seriously trying to say you would have preferred to keep pellegrino? If all fans were like you then we would deserve relegation.
  14. That's the spirit! You'll be singing Mark hughes' Red and white army before you know it.
  15. Appalling! Christ. Have you been watching saints this season?
  16. He already said he wants silva even though we don't know if he was even an option. Think he said clement too.
  17. Cool. Our chances of staying up have improved since Sunday which is mostly what I wanted. Let's all get behind him and hope he can get the three wins needed.
  18. We're friends really.
  19. I'm not being aggressive, it's a statement of fact.
  20. Thanks but I tend to take the views of someone who calls people paedophiles in their spare time with a pinch of salt.
  21. If you think saying "no need to get aggressive" is an example of being precious then I question your judgement even more.
  22. It's not particularly hard to take it Snowflake, I just considered it unnecessary and so pointed that out. I believe I called your suggestion that the negativity of this forum was keeping Pellegrino in a job absolute b*llocks and I stand by that wholeheartedly.
  23. Well that would completely contradict the reports of looking for Premier League experience.
  24. I asked Jeff for some clarification and was given some abuse in return. You put words in my mouth and lied about what I said and I called you a cretin. If I had done something similar then I would have expected some abuse too.
  25. You may be unhappy but as you have said there are no other realistic alternatives bar Silva who some are saying would turn the job down so we just have to make the best of it. Blame the board for not sacking him in December, not for appointing Hughes when they have barely any realistic alternative.
