Overall you have to give credit to Martin for that lineup. I wouldn't have played Stephens but we know he's Martins favourite.

I think it's going to be very close. I'm not sure Trump's goal is to 'win' the debates anyway - arguably he lost them against Hillary-it's to become a talking point and in people's consciousness. I'm not sure how that's going with the general public but he's achieving that online with the eating the cats stuff and a few other memes. He's been underestimated in polling before. I think it will be a big surprise if it's a clear Harris win eventually.

Anyone have a prediction for the team we will play? I'd like us to play 4-2-3-1 but I think Martin will go for 5-3-2 again. Ramsdale Sugawara Bednarek THB Stephens kwp Dibling Downes Fernandes Archer bbd The team I'd like to see: Ramsdale Sugawara Bednarek THB kwp Downes lesley Dibling Lallana bbd/Cornet Archer

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

I doubt he has individual files. That would make it too difficult for him to generalise and cast aspersions on as wide a group as possible. More likely it's just one big file he labels "far right" and another one marked "the Jews." -
Official: Jan Bednarek signs new contract until 2027

If we did go down New keeper /bazunu Bree/new rb Edwards/Stephens bednarek Taylor New dm Smallbone Armstrong Lallana/new am bbd/SAA Archer That's a very good championship team even before reinforcements and you'd hope we wouldn't have to sell too many -
Think I mentioned before that my brother in law was a professional footballer who played at Saint Mary's, scored at Wembley etc. It was really eye opening to me how obsessed he was with football and honing his skills with his dad from a very young age. I wasn't bad at football but never anywhere near professional. I just didn't have the interest to that degree or the skill!
-
Good character on the pitch too. Off the pitch not so much but the less said about that the better!
-
That's not the reason we let Alcaraz go. We let him go because he can't play the passing football in the manner that Martin wants.
-
Indeed. The whole point of 3-5-2 is to keep it tight and try to nick a goal. If we're going toose anyway then might as well try something more attacking and see if anything changes.

Quite. I was plenty critical of the conservatives. They were crap. Only fair that Labour gets the same level of scrutiny- albeit they haven't been there for long yet. -

The train driver settlement was no strings attached and included paying people who have already left. Like I said, it was a political choice to do so. -

Doesn't sound like it "Bridget Phillipson, the education Secretary, refused to say where the money for the train driver pay deal would come from. The Government spends £12bn a year subsidising the rail industry, leaving open the possibility that taxpayers will fund the pay rise." -

As I understand it, the junior doctor pay rise and the train driver pay rise is not a result of following independent recommendations. I could be wrong but can't find that in any news article. -

So all the pay rises announced were labour following the recommendations of independent review bodies? -

In what world were the pay rises and the deal agreed for the junior doctors and train drivers coming anyway? It was entirely a political choice to settle it on the terms that they did. -

Good to see an interview this morning which trashed this black hole nonsense and underlined the fact that 9 billion for the unions was a political choice. -
Official: Jan Bednarek signs new contract until 2027
hypochondriac replied to CSA96's topic in The Saints
Well if we stay up this year then it will be likely that he will have proven himself to be good enough to keep us up. If we go down then he's proven himself to be decent in the championship. So it's good news all round. -

Good news. Means he will stay if we do go down and he's proven himself to be a decent cb at championship level. Bednarek, Stephens, Edwards and wood are a decent championship Central defence. -

I think he might stay a few years if we stay up. I'd say at this point that looks remote though and I can't see him hanging around in the championship. A 30 million pound offer from someone like Liverpool next summer after relegation and he's offski.

Ah right I misread it. I agree with him then. We should be playing Dibling as much as we possibly can short of giving him injury problems. We need to get maximum benefit because he might not be here next year.
-
Phase jwp in more? Than who? Dibling has barely played for us thus far.
-
Not sure I agree with that. You wouldn't have said we'd be in a sorry state when we played bale or Shaw. If you're good enough then you're certainly old enough and we need the best player sout there to give us the best chance of a result.
-
In the nicest possible way I don't really care. Dibling is going to be here two to three years absolute maximum. What his injury record is like after that time isn't really our concern.
