  1. Do you think that's a signal that the markets agree with your assessment that the budget was very promising though?
  2. And kamala has the black vote already. It's the white male vote she needs more of - and she won't reach more of them than doing Rogan.
  3. Happy to go on some no mark podcast with 750k views though instead of the largest podcast in the world, miles bigger than every television network with hundreds of millions of views for every podcast he does.
  4. Common criticisms I have seen from Americans is that Harris is robotic, only does scripted or tightly controlled interviews so comes across as inauthentic and uses apt of. Words to say very little of substance. You'd think a long form interview having a chat with someone with a proven record of being cordial and not hammering someone with gotcha questions would be the perfect opportunity to counter almost all of those criticisms. Imagine if she was herself for three hours and the young largely male demographic gets to see a completely different side to her. Like I said, I think it's a huge own goal not to do it.
  5. his campaign is doing the correct thing and making him part of the news cycle. I haven't seen or heard anything about Kamala at all. Political Stunts are the right way to go at this stage. JD vance has now done Rogan and taken the slot offered to Kamala. It's crazy she hasn't done it given Trump got 100 million views in a week and it's the exact demographic Harris needs.
  6. Not sure why everyone is crying about the Puerto Rico comment. I agree with well-known lefty Jon Stewart: https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1851138132596408499?t=VK8uONLQlyVAMMvFy_63AA&s=19
  7. That wasn't the message that Democrats were sending out for months right up until he was pressured to step down.
  8. I'd say the market reaction is a pretty good judge. They certainly were with Truss.
  9. It's not about if you are offended, it's about motivating a small percentage of voters to vote Trump who maybe weren't voting previously. An offhand dismissive comment like that may influence enough voters to make a difference. In a close race like this why take the risk?
  10. Whether it makes a difference or not, it's still a really dumb thing to say a week out from the election. Poor old semi-senile Joe is adding to the problems Kamala has when she really doesn't need any more.
  11. In a very tight race it only needs to have a relatively small impact to make a difference. The comment from Hillary certainly did and you've got Trump capitalising already today driving a Trump garbage truck.
  12. Calling Trump supporters garbage probably isn't the smartest idea. That didn't work for Hillary either.
  13. Lots of positive reactions on here to the budget with what will be the highest tax burden in UK history. I'll be interested to see if this spurs economic growth as ultimately that will imo decide if Labour wins the next election or not.
  14. I thought Bree was great. I hope he gets his chance to compete for first choice next season when kwp leaves.
  15. I thought Martin had a self proclaimed proven track record of improving players he works with? I've seen regression with Sugawara and Sulemana and nothing special from Ugochukwu and Cornet. A win is good but very hard to take any sort of morale boost from that shaky and fragile performance.
  16. The Welsh must be stopped.
  17. If it is true that eyewitnesses said he mentioned Allah and that he'd recently converted-again that could be bollocks invented on social media then that would be more than enough with the other evidence to convince me. It's not like it would be a particularly outlandish thing to suggest given the amount of radical Islamist we've had in this country. Whatever the motive, I hope it's shared quickly so the process can begin to send him to jail for the rest of his natural life and the victims left behind in this case can start to heal. Hopefully if it is radical Islam once again, people will actually look back in anger this time and something more substantial will be done to reduce the risks of this happening again.
  18. Although if someone had recently bought the anarchists cookbook and then killed a bunch of people, you would consider it at least plausible that there was a connection between the two.
  19. It could have been fake news but I swear someone who knew him mentioned that he had converted to Islam prior to the attacks. I'd say downloading a pdf terrorist document on its own doesn't make you a jihadi.
  20. If he was playing poch ball he certainly isn't going to be suited for our style.
  21. Democrats needed to bin off Biden ages ago, had a proper primary and chosen the most competent and most inspiring character they had. That isn't Kamala or Joe. It should have been pretty easy to present a competent and sensible face to middle America and storm to a win but instead they have manufactured this shitshow.
  22. Sounds like the Southport attacker is being charged with terrorism offences and is possibly an Islamic extremist after all. Another one to add to the terrorist attacks carried out in the name of Islam column.
  23. I think the fact you find it incredible is the same reason that hardcore Democrats find it incredible and can't believe they might actually lose. How about putting up a decent candidate and running on something rather than running almost solely on not being Trump? In general people want something to vote for rather than something to vote against (not true with our election this time round but it is normally.) If Trump gets in it is largely on them and how they handled the utter shitshow under Biden and then Harris.
