I think this is a pathetic idea however I do hope the board are aware of the fans strength of feeling and how they do not want to be fobbed off with a flowery statement from Ralph.

I think it's the players who should take most of the credit but I take your point as they will be leaving soon too. I was sad that Fulham didn't stay up as my fiance's uncle has got me a free ticket in the Fulham end for the last two seasons so I will miss that!

So Farage specifically said he was different from other leader with regards to spending his EU allowance? Or is it more likely that he was referring to his manner, how he has had a proper job and how he joined politics because he was passionate about an issue when he spoke about being different from the other leaders?

Never had a problem with Cortese with regards to the football side of things. Some are talking as if there was a choice anyway, Cortese walked away so there was no option of him staying.

Something like 'despite offering generous terms and agreeing to his demands, Pochettino has tendered his resignation. we wanted him to stay and tried to keep him but he was determined to leave. We will now do everything we can to get a manager of a high calibre and during this period no players will be leaving Southampton football club. We will update the fan base as soon as a new manager is in place. ' would have preferred that compared to the pandering stuff we got.

It's still a bit of a cringe statement to go alongside his others though. I hope we do get a decent manager now but if we get one of the usual faces (pretty much every name linked from off here) then that's pretty concerning.

Having a plan and a vision, selling that to the players, keeping many together, promising funds from any sales to improve the team, keeping the players informed about what is going on, finding a replacement for players and managers quickly and getting a good standard of manager in, getting in some people who have a football background and are intelligent. That's just a couple of things he could do.

Certainly had high hopes and was willing to give them a chance, especially as his track record looks good but he has said quite a few concerning things and after making a big thing out of transparency, have said nothing and allowed the newspapers to speculate for weeks. We appear to have a rudderless ship at the moment and whilst there are clearly other ways to lead than the way Nicola tried, we do need someone to actually take charge and communicate without the BS. What is our plan going forward? Something that outlined our vision without the management speak would be very welcome.
