I am not so sure they will go down with the -10. They have cheated their way to a 'competitive' squad now and would only be 8 points (I think) from safety and the fixture computer has been relatively kind to them for the next few games so they could pick up points.

Pompey fan talking about Mcleod missing a chance. Yes it was, and from where we were sat (NSL), it looked like it was goal bound. Shame it didn't go in as it would have given him a major confidence boost. On that note, there were a few 'supporters' sat near us who were on his back from the start. It can't help a player getting that kind of negative abuse from his own support. Yet another Portsea Island myth blown out of the water. Pompey fans never boo or abuse their own players...... yeah right!

OMG, it is not the FL or PKF who have killed their club. It is the gun runner, the fake sheik, Dr Dolittle, Storrieteller and saggy chops et al who did the damage - oh and along with the few who lapped it up at the time.

BBC Solent Sport @solentsport Appleton does not fear the sack: Portsmouth boss Michael Appleton says he is not worried about the possibility o... http://bbc.in/UROXId Sure he is safe - they can't afford to sack him!!

http://www.villatalk.com/index.php?n...r=asc&start=90 Some of them are truely deluded. Southampton are a poor side but we made them look unplayable second half The worst thing? Southampton werent even any good? We played a woeful promoted side who have lost 4 on the bounce and got done 4-1. Soul-destroying.

816................. Oh my god PMSL. We took 3000 and won 3-0 (I think). Absolutely massive club!!!! LOL

Not sure about e-bay but think there may have been something on the Billingsgate website.

Was that the same league that we were in last season. Could have sworn the gap was one point!!! Oh well typical skate maths.

The gift that keeps giving..... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/bids-are-flying-in-as-pompey-get-to-their-end-game-1-4287259 The sixth bid has only just been made, but the unnamed consortium behind it would have to make a high offer in order to move in front of either Portpin or the PST at this late stage. Rumours flying around the Fratton Park terraces name a seventh bid – a consortium which tried to buy Newcastle United in 2007 – but those whispers have been quashed. Didn't know empty blue seats could talk.
-
SulaimanAlfahim @TheRealSulaiman Why don't all five bidders of #Portsmouth join force together and put £30m in the club to make sure we go back to Premier League in two yrs Retweeted by Neil Allen You just could not make this up..... LOL

How ****ing thick is he? Peterborough have played 6 And have zero points. Yet more myths being spouted from 'Fantasy' Island.

Portpin have issued the following statement regarding their bid: Portpin have today revised their bid in response to the questions and comments received from The Football League regarding details of its bid proposal submitted last week, specifically regarding the level of debt being carried forward. It is a Portpin board level decision to address and incorporate the suggestions from The Football League to ensure that the club is well-capitalised and financially solvent from day one following acquisition, and remains so throughout the business plan forecast period over the next five years. This is the long-term vision of Portpin ownership, which it is prepared to support and fund. Balram Chainrai announced "We are committed to own Portsmouth Football Club and build it back up to its rightful place. This does not mean spending lavishly on short-term player contracts as the former owners did. It means stabilising the core business and rebuilding the club and its real estate so that it can trade on a financially secure footing.” He went on to say "Do not judge us on our words but on our actions. Portpin is looking to take decisive steps to deliver this objective. We are offering a multi-million pound, multi-year overdraft facility to The Football League to give the business a cash flow safety net and ensure all unsecured and football creditors are paid. We are prepared to convert a materially significant amount of Portpin’s debt into equity to further capitalise the new company. We are committed to ensuring that not one penny of the parachute payments will be taken out of the club but will be used to fund the business going forwards. We strongly believe that Fratton Park and the Club must stay together as one entity. There will be no cash drain for lease payments to a third party for the use of Fratton Park’’. ‘’As the senior secured creditor of Portsmouth Football Club (2010) Limited in administration as well as one of the largest creditors to the club, we categorically do not want to see the business stripped of its principal asset to fund the acquisition or the day to day running of the business. This will only end in tears. Sadly it has happened before to Portsmouth under previous ownerships. Four years on and we are still trying to unravel that tangled inherited real estate web and enable the club to own all of the pieces and put them back together again. This is the reason why we have been steadfast in saying no to all of the property developers and distressed capital funds who have approached us about buying the Portpin loan. Look at what happened to Crystal Palace when their ground was stripped from the club – or Coventry City. We have always stated that the only way forward for any club is to keep the stadium and the club under common ownership. Anything short of that would be fiscal suicide for the business’’. ‘’We believe Portsmouth is a fantastic football club with the most passionate supporters in the land (aggghhhhhhh) and it deserves to be restored to its former glories. We want to work together with the supporters to make sure that Portsmouth never falls back into the financial black-hole of administration again. Our aim and commitment of capital is to put in place the foundations which are so desperately needed at our club. Our main objectives are: · To make the club run on a sound financial base with realistic targets and objectives · To ensure the Club is never put in this position again. · To maintain ownership and rebuild the infrastructure of the club based on strong financial foundations – including our own training ground, a stadium fit for the future, and an academy to furnish our club with home-grown talent. · To restore the community pride in Portsmouth Football Club – locally and nationally (Good luck with that!!) Balram Chainrai concluded by saying, "Portpin aims to successfully finalise its discussions with The Football League and PKF without delay so that the club can exit administration and move forwards as soon as possible. Under our ownership we intend to demonstrate the same heartfelt passion and support for the club that has been shown throughout by Michael Appleton, the players, the employees and all of the loyal fans of Portsmouth FC.’’

Crowd was so low tonight as Gosport Borou were at home and Real Madrid on the TV. LOL

What did Norwich and Swansea do that we aren't?
Saint Lindford replied to PaulSaint's topic in The Saints
Because we did not beat Wigan. That is the only reason we are where we are, if we had won that then we would be 14th or 15th and these type of threads would not be appearing. Nobody would have expected to get points from Citeh, manure or Arsenal so we are bottom and pointless because of one game in 4. People need to lighten up, NA has NOT become a bad manager in the last 4 months since we gained back to back promotions. The players have not become bad players in the same time frame. What has changed is that we are now playing against world class players who given a chance will take it. That is why SAF paid £25m for RVP, he and Paul Scholes were the reason we lost to manure the other week. FFS, 6 of the starting XI against manure had played in the 2-0 home defeat to Rochdale only 2 years ago, that is how far we have come with these players. Looking at the performance that day who would have thought it eh? Yesterday seemed to be (I was not there but reading/listening to reports) a case of our worst performance of the season combined with Arsenal's best so it was one of those days. The doom mongers are out but need to get a grip on reality. We are a Premier League side, probably a season too early but we have to deal with it. We are SOUTHAMPTON the pride of the South. COYRs -
SAF is saying that he has proof of funds money is in Escrow account in UAE, and by end of today or latest Friday it will be in UK account. He can't be pulling their chain again can he? Surely not!

Well they do have to fuel the appetites of the hundreds of thousands of the bestest fans in the world and one quote or story a week from UnAppy would not do it now would it? The sell out crowds in League One and the massive amount of ST holders that Dr Dolittle spoke about the other day just goes to prove that they are the comatose giant just waiting to be awoken by the multi billionaires that the Ice Cream man has cobbled together this time.

Deluded or what?
-
Totally agree Frank. The Police need to be accountable but SO do the fans. We have all been there, 5 mins before kick off leave the pub get to the ground and push though turnstiles getting impatient as we might miss the kick off. Well if we have left the pub 15 mins before kick off we would have been in the ground before kick off. Then there is the issue about the fans who got in without tickets, will they be accountable as well.

Oops - sorry meant to edit that to remove any offensive words. Could someone do me the honours please if possible.

This one is quite funny... Their forum appears to be the same few people going over the same ground over and over again. Desperately trying to appear clever. In truth they come over as a bunch of first year students the kind that think they've got 20 years experience in whatever field they're studying when they've actually only been to 3 months worth of lectures. Still we know what they say about a little knowledge! I didn't like Grant either another condesending knob but then why expect anything else. I love the fact that the one thing they want they can't have. A win v Pompey. I know they have all the bitterness about the league titles and the cup wins, but most on that forum were in junior school the last time they beat us, and I think its funny as! Well we can't have a win against Pompey numbskull as we are not in the same division and won't be for a long time yet!. Portsea Island myths - the gift that keeps giving.

It is just an hilarious read.

OK then, why should JCL 'only want a ST when in the PL' have the same 'rights' for tickets as ST holders who went to away games at Walsall, Hartlepool and other exciting destinations over the last couple of seasons? Yes they have paid their money for this season but sure as eggs are eggs they were no where to be seen at League 1 games. The club could have used a coefficient or something to 'reward' the fans who travelled the length of the country to watch League 1 football. Amazing how many 'new' people were around us on Sunday. One bloke had kid on his lap all through the first half and did not return after half time.... WTF. Sure he was in the crowd for the majority of games over the last 4 seasons?????? There was another girl who spent the entire 94 on her Nintendo DS.
