Pay for the laces in Ben Haim's boots maybe

It won't be the pitch that will do for the game it will be the surrounding areas once the H&S police have a look.

It also confirms that the club does not own any of the land around the ground. The Portsmouth Plan includes all the land around the ground, who owns this? Most of the land was acquired during Milan Mandaric's tenure at the club. This has since been transferred to the ownership of another former owner Alexandre Gaydamak. He currently owns the land behind the Fratton End and right round to the old ticket office and Megastore on Rodney Road and the land directly behind the North Stand. The rest of the land along Rodney Road, which is included in the development area as identified in the Portsmouth Plan is owned by the businesses which occupy the south side of Rodney Road. What will happen to this land surrounding the ground? The only way Portsmouth FC can ever establish itself as a sustainable football club for a city the size of Portsmouth and to play regularly at the highest level is for the club to have a 21st century stadium and catch up with most other English clubs who have the infrastructure expected of the modern game. It is vital to the future of the club that the land around the ground is reunited with the club to enable a comprehensive redevelopment of the area including enabling development to pay for the stadium in accordance with the objectives of the Portsmouth Plan. So just where is this peice of real estate worth £20m pounds that the club owns that Tesco wants.?

I would not hold your breath, I asked the same question ages ago and have had no response.

You only have to look at the Southampton game when we played a top-of-the-table side. ‘They were playing very, very well coming into that game – and the atmosphere of the place was rocking. ‘The players couldn’t hear you talk, shout, scream at them because the atmosphere was so good. Oh dear, it was the only time the **** tip was close to being full and that was only because Saints were there. Plenty of empty seats in the home ends, somewhat dumps on the mythical fantastic support idea when they can't sell all their seats for a local derby.

Portsmouth supporters are considering a £32million buy-out of the crisis club. Fans will meet with local business leaders on Thursday to discuss the rescue mission – and how the purchase could be financed. Top of the agenda will be an emergency package to halt a winding-up order by Revenue & Customs over a £1.6million tax bill. Parent company CSI are already in administration and Pompey face the same fate unless they can start to balance the books. But administrator Andrew Andronikou has warned any potential buyer would need to come up with around £32m, including £20m owed to previous owners Balram Chainrai and Alexandre Gaydamak. Scott McLachlan of the Portsmouth Supporters’ Trust said: “Other clubs, notably Swansea, have been bought out by their fans and this is an avenue we have to explore. “We have to make every effort to save the club. There is the possibility that between us we can organise a community fans buy-out but a lot of money is involved.” LOL, maybe someone should explain that Swansea City Supporters Society Ltd owning a 20% stake is not buying out the club. Where do they think that they will find at least £32m from? They could always ask the alleged 200,000 people who were on Southsea Common to stump up £160 each.

No other mug will pay the inflated wages you are that's why they would be happy to sit on their arsenal's doing nothing more than wasting a squad place and draining more money out of you. They move on a free in a years time and pocket even more. Land for the training ground was made available in 2008, just when plans for the Harbourdome or some other fanciful ground were muted. That all fell apart last year with Gosport Borough Council trying to get back £330,000 it was owed from Gaydamak via the courts. There is no other land currently earmarked for a training ground. Where is this land that Tesco wants to spunk £20m on then?

We knew that the club would not generate sufficient funds to support itself through this period (Nov to Feb). However, when CSI, the club’s parent company, went into administration we were given assurances by the Administrator of CSI and the charge-holders over CSI (Portpin Limited) that the club would be funded through this period until a new owner was found. The above is from the from the club statement. So do the phew still believe they were not financially inextricably linked????? Yeah right!

Nice big headline on the front of the News, 'POMPEY OWE £1.6m TO THE TAX MAN', saw a copy in Sainsburys in Liphook this morning. Got some funny looks as I s******ed.

Very much doubt that we would offer anyone £30k+ wages given our top earners are on circa £20k. Why rock the boat?

According to some ITK's on POL the 'new' owner will be................................................................ CALA. LOL

From one of their forums. The £12m is proof of funds to weed out tyre kickers. That actually covers a large chunk of the investment you mention. The £20m is just assurances. The club can actually pay those 2 debts using the remainder of the parachute payments (after paying the CVA). Be interested to know what the actual purchase price is, if anything. Chainrai may be pulling the strings, if he is then he just wants his original arrangement with CSI covered. Sorry but I thought the £12m was to ensure the club could pay its way (wages, running costs and outstanding debts on transfers in the summer) and the £20m was to pay the secured creditors (Chinny and the like. What is left of the parachute payments was to be used to pay off the CVA. Confused now!!

North One Sports (NOS), a subsidiary of CSI, has gone into administration after the FIA terminated its contract to promote the World Rally Championship. Mr Andronikou said he hoped money from the potential sale of NOS would be pumped into Pompey’s running costs. Peter Kubik, joint-administrator of CSI, said NOS’ collapse will ‘not have a negative effect on Pompey’. Is this a desperate cry for any little money they can get their grubby hands on? The 'football club', a going concern, not inextricably linked to CSI......................... bo££ocks

Dave Kitson paid tribute to Michael Appleton’s impact at Pompey and promised: I don’t want to go anywhere. The Blues striker believes his club have the right man at the helm to take them forward – if Appleton is given the right backing. And Kitson wants to be a part of the rebirth of the team under Appleton’s guidance. The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from Fratton Park this month, with Bristol City said to be keen on signing him. Kitson, who has 18 months left on his contract, insists he is perfectly happy where he is, though, and has no desire to move on. I bet he is not, no other mugs are going to pay £20K a week for him are they.

You did not go so how can you make a statement like that. We got on the train at Lewes at 1407, we were in the councourse at 1425. We had a beer in the ground after the game and got a train at about 1800. Total time waiting for trains, oh about 15 mins. Don't knock something until you have actually tried it.

JOS HOOIVELD - not a bad hunch eh! -
If Saints had spunked circa £90m on that heap then I would be very embarrased. The ONE stand looks good but the other 3 sides are just, well a joke. No real noise from the home fans until they scored. What was with the 'Championes' chant, that was last season you muppets, we have moved on maybe you should as well. All the bigging up of it being a great 'fan' experience is just ******. The queues for the refreshment outlets before kick off were a joke and what club runs out of beer for f***s sake. Small time mickey mouse outfit. The only good thing about the day was parking at Lewes, a beer in nice pub near the stataion and then the short train ride to Falmer.

Another massive travelling support from The Bestest Fans in the World on Boxing Day. Only 600 bothered to make the short trip to Millwall.. LOL. Wonder how many taxis they will need for Leicester on Saturday?

It was a close run thing really between MS, SDR and JC, my vote went to Cork. He was outstanding for me.

Not that old!!

Posh seats again.... alright for some eh! We did the box thingy at Coventry and no problems cheering as 4 goals went in.
-
Happy Christmas matey. Hope all is well, must meet up for a beer pre game soon.
-
And of course when the Manu fans did the same effect when singing Ronaldo's name you all did the same pathetic wave and cooooeeeeeeeee..... NO thought not!! The key word is INTERESTED. The 2 clubs concerned Plucky Bournemouth and Rangers told Antonov where to go. Even Eddie Mitchell(sp) could see they had no money.

I use the industrial area where the old Meridian studios used to be, not far from where you use to park.

The whole country were laughing at your inbred fans for the gestures behind players backs and throwing the ball away when you were 1-0 down.
