And they could not sell all their FA Cup final tickets. There were thousands of Chelsea fans in the skates end at Wembley.
-
What a pathetic waste of bandwidth.
-
Great news as he had a tremendous run in the team towards the end of the season. All we need to sort out now are the season tickets, new kit and a couple of new signings. Happy Days... :-)
-
Good news IMHO and totally deserved as he was immense at times last season, a very good experience pro to have in and around teh dressing room. He will be used less next season as NA will probably look to bring on Martin and Seabourne to partner Fonte.
-
Well their first team could just about compete in that game, just about enough players for a team. PMSL.
-
Looking at the top half of the NPC at the end of the season there would probably be 4 or 5 teams who will strengthen over the summer and be considered a challenge to us next season. With NA saying that there will be a couple of additions to our squad there is no reason to suggest why we cannot be top half of the table at minimum. Given the team spirit there is in the squad, a settled pre-season and a good start could see us challenging for a play off spot. For me a top half of the table finish be good, anything higher a bonus.

Listened to Clotterill on Solent yesterday before the Skates played at S****horpe, he really is clueless and spouts complete drivel. The best little sound bite was him banging on about the magnificent support. He said "We had over 17000 for a Monday night game, Norwich sold their allocation so it just show what magnificent support this club has". PMSL, the way he emphasised the fact that it was great to get 17,000 for a Monday night game. If Norwich sold full allocation then there were only about 14,000 of the blue few there - great support my arse. We have averaged 22,000 this season in League One, yesterday we has a crowd of 32,000 and there were over 30,000 Saints fans in the ground, our away support this season has been nothing short of brilliant shown by the constant sold out full allocations. That Mr Clotterill is GREAT support, not having a pathetic 17,000 gate for your last home game of the season with only 14,000 home fans there. Next season I would imagine we will top 25,000 as an average, what will be the blue few average - 16,000 at best?
-
Think we only reached that number in one season of the PL. Reckon the average in the PL was around 16-18k.
-

Oh there were, certainly towards the Itchen side of the Chapel, made me laugh at times when we were keeping the ball well and all you could hear every now and then were the groans as the ball went sideways or backwards. Shame these idiots could not see that with 9 men in blue and white behind the ball the last thing to do was hump it into the box. This was brought out with the lovely move to put DC in when he should have scored, some lovely pass and move and one touch football. -
The Fratton end is to be turned into a sea of blue and white to mark the first-ever Fans’ Day.Monday, May 2, will see the launch of the inaugural event, which has been created to celebrate being a Pompey fan. The Pompey community is embracing the concept which takes place on the day of the last home match of the season against Norwich. A host of rides and stalls will be set-up in the Fratton end car park, running from 12-6.30pm. In addition, Jobsite have stumped up four-figure sponsorship to ensure supporters can do their bit inside the ground. Every seat in the Fratton end will have a banner to hold up before kick off. Once synchronised, it will become a sea of blue and white with ‘1898’ written across it. And one of the organisers, Tom Dearie, is urging all fans to take part as he looks for the first Fans’ Day to prove a big success. He said: ‘We are asking every fan in the Fratton end to join in what we hope will be a visually stunning backdrop to the team doing their last pre-match huddle of the season at Fratton Park. ‘When you take your seat you will find a clap banner and, at the designated time which will be printed on the reverse of the clap banner, we ask that everyone in that stand holds theirs up to help create this display. ‘The clap banners used for the display can be folded back afterwards and be used to make extra noise during the game to help cheer Pompey on to a final home win in what has been a long, hard season for everyone associated with the club.’ Just a shame that the hundreds of empty seats will make big holes in the 'sea of blue and white'.

It was for cupping his hand to his ear and then putting his finger to his mouth (shhhsshhh). Referee clearly told him that as he booked him. He had been getting dogs abuse from the fans behind that goal all second half.

These are the same chancers who tried it on at Bompey the other year. Mitchell told them to take a hike I seem to remember for not having enough money............. Seems about right they are looking down the road then, bargin basement or pound shop.

Never had any problems parking there. There are spaces in the industrial units on the left of the dual carriageway (A206), ground will be on your right as you drive along it. Walk is only 5 -10 mins from there.
-
More tickets now available online

Now I would not advocate anyone spoiling their survey but................ http://www.kwiksurveys.com/online-survey.php?surveyID=IOJDKJ_4588969a There are some cringe worthy questions in there.
